Kyana started gymnastics at the age of 22 months. She started her competitive career at Zenith Elite Gymnastics. After Kyana's level 8 season in 2009, she moved to Metroplex where she blossomed under the tutelage of Jaycie Phelps and Dave Marus. She placed fifth on floor at the 2010 Level 8 Regionals. After her 2010 season, she began training under coaches Marnie Futch and Gina Logan. In 2011, she placed seventh in the all-around and tenth on floor at the Level 9 Western Nationals. In 2012, Kyana placed second in the all-around and first on floor exercise at the Junior Olympic NIT. Currently, she is preparing for the upcoming 2013 season as a level 10 gymnast at Metroplex Gymnastics.
