Lauren Bridgens was born on September 22, 1998 in Rockville, Maryland. She is the youngest of four children to Dave and Clare-Anne Bridgens. She has two older brothers, Ryan and Chris and one older sister, Taylor. Currently, Lauren is a senior at Quince Orchard High School, graduating in 2017. During Lauren's spare time, she enjoys tubing, shopping, baking, hanging out with her friends and going to the beach.

At the age four, a pre-school friend asked Lauren to join a recreational gymnastics class with her that met once a week. A team coach saw potential in Lauren and invited her to join their pre-team at MarVaTeens Gymnastics in Rockville, MD where she trained until 2007.

As a level 7 gymnast in 2007, Lauren placed third in the all-around and second on floor exercise at the Fantasy Invitational. At the Christmas on the Chesapeake, she placed fourth in the all-around and first on uneven bars. One year later during the 2008-2009 season, Lauren competed in level 9 at the Christmas on the Chesapeake, Hill's Maryland Classic and Parkettes Invitational. Lauren competed in level 8 rest of the 2009 season. She placed second on uneven bars and sixth in the all-around at the Unique Classic. At the Byers Invitational, she finished first on uneven bars and eighth in the all-around. Lauren finished second on uneven bars, fourth on balance beam and third in the all-around at the State Championships. She had a great meet at the Region 7 Championships where she finished eighth in the all-around with a 37.075.

In 2010, Lauren had a short experience with elite qualifier where she participated in compulsories and optionals at the Sand Dollar Invitational as a HOPES gymnast. One month later, she competed at the Pink Invitational in level 9, finishing sixth in the all-around and first on uneven bars. At the Level 9 State Championships, she finished second on balance beam and in the all-around as well as first on floor exercise. At the Region 7 Championships, she placed 12th in the all-around.

Lauren started her 2011 season at the Hill's Maryland Classic, finishing first on vault and uneven bars and second in the all-around. At the Parkettes Invitational, she placed seventh in the all-around and fifth on uneven bars. Lauren traveled to Colorado for the Pikes Peak Cup where she placed third in the all-around and first on balance beam. At the Midwest Open, she finished fifth in the all-around and second on uneven bars. Lauren did really well at the State Championships, finishing fourth in the all-around and first on uneven bars. She narrowly missed qualifying to the Level 9 Eastern Nationals after experiencing a bad routine on balance beam at the Region 7 Championships. She did really well on other events where she finished fourth on uneven bars and sixth on floor exercise.

As a first-year level 10 gymnast in 2012, Lauren placed third on uneven bars at the Hill's Maryland Classic and Parkettes Invitational. At the Caribbean Invitational, she placed third in the all-around and first on uneven bars. She then placed second on balance beam, floor exercise and in the all-around at the Jazz Invitational. At the Unique Classic, she finished third in the all-around and second on balance beam. Lauren finished third on uneven bars and eighth in the all-around and qualified to the Region 7 Championships. She only competed on uneven bars where she placed ninth.

In 2013, Lauren finished third in the all-around and second on uneven bars and floor exercise at at the Atlantis Crown Invitational. At the Hill's Maryland Classic, she placed fourth in the all-around and first on floor exercise. She finished seventh in the all-around and fourth on uneven bars at the Parkettes Invitational. Lauren had a great meet at the Pink Invitational where she placed third in the all-around with a 38.050 as well as second on balance beam and third on uneven bars and floor exercise. At the State Championships, she placed first on vault, uneven bars and in the all-around with a 37.400. She qualified to the Junior Olympic Nationals after finishing first in the all-around with a 37.675 and third on balance beam and floor exercise at the Region 7 Championships. At the JO Nationals in Minneapolis, MN, she finished ninth in the all-around with a 37.525 and eighth on uneven bars out of 56 gymnasts.

Lauren started her 2014 season at the Myrtle Beach Invitational, finishing first on vault and in the all-around. At the Maryland Classic, she placed fourth in the all-around, second on floor exercise and third on uneven bars. Lauren finished fifth in the all-around and third on floor exercise at the Parkettes Invitational. At the Legends Invitational, she grabbed gold medals on vault, uneven bars, floor exercise and in the all-around with a 38.225. Lauren finished first on vault, floor exercise and in the all-around with a 37.275 at the State Championships. At the Region 7 Championships, she finished second in the all-around with a 38.125, first on uneven bars and third on floor exercise. She qualified to the Junior Olympic Nationals in Jackson, MS, finishing ninth in the all-around with a 37.775 and 11th on vault.

In 2015, Lauren finished second in the all-around and first on vault and uneven bars at the Gymstrada Invitational. At the Hill's Maryland Classic, she placed second on vault and fourth in the all-around. Lauren finished second in the all-around at the Parkettes Invitational. She had a great meet at the WOGA Classic where she grabbed gold medals on vault, uneven bars, balance beam and in the all-around with a 38.300. At the State Championships, Lauren placed second in the all-around and first on uneven bars and floor exercise. She finished second in the all-around with a 38.275, first on uneven bars, second on vault and third on floor exercise at the Region 7 Championships. She qualified to the Junior Olympic Nationals in Des Moines, IA where she finished 15th in the all-around and third on vault.

Currently, Lauren is preparing for the 2017 season as a level 10 gymnast. She trains 32 hours per week at HIll's Gymnastics under coach Kelli Hill. She would like to obtain a college scholarship to a Division 1 school.
