My name is Alexandria “Lexi” Powe. I was born on Feburary 24, 2001 in Colorado. I live in Aurora, Colorado, with my mother Joni, my step-father Adrian, my father Darrell, and my siblings Kaeli, Gabe, and Tiana. I also have a dog named Neechi.

I attend Cherokee Trail High School, I will graduate from high school 2019. My favorite subjects in school are math and science. I have always had a spirit for math since elementary school. But in high school I had developed a spirit for science. I enjoy algebra, chemistry and physics. My passion for these subjects have propelled me to want to major in engineering or accounting.

My mother, Joni was a gymnast as a child, so she decided to enroll my older sister and me in gymnastics. I began the sport at age two and have been in love with gymnastics ever since then. I joined pre-team at Alpha Gymnastics and continued my gymnastics there until I was a level 5. I then moved and have been training at Colorado Gymnastics Institute since I was a level 6.

Early in my optional career, I competed level 7, where I placed second the all-around with a 37.600, first on vault, second on uneven bars and third on floor exercise in 2013. As a level 8 gymnast in 2014 I finished fourth in the all-around with a 37.275, second on vault and third on floor exercise. I qualified to the Region 3 Championships, finishing fifth on vault. I moved up to level 9 for the 2015 season. Placing eighth in the all-around and fourth on floor exercise at the State Championships. At the Region 3 Championships, I placed eighth in the all-around and fifth on vault and uneven bars. I was named the first alternate for the Level 9 Western Nationals.

As a first-year level 10 gymnast in 2016, I placed third on floor exercise and fifth on vault at the State Championships, qualifying to Regionals. In 2017, I finished fourth on uneven bars at the State Championships, which was the only event I was able to compete due to an unfortunate ankle injury in training. At the Region 3 Championships, I placed second in the all-around with a 37.250 and first on vault. For the first time I qualified to the Junior Olympic Nationals in Indianapolis, IN.

Currently, I am preparing for the 2018 season as a level 10 gymnast. I train 20-25 hours per week at Colorado Gymnastics Institute in Aurora, CO under coaches Vinicio Liera, Lindy Franzini, Sonia Liera and Kristin Teubner. One of my goals is to score a perfect 10.0 in my gymnastics career as well as compete for a college
