Madelyn followed her older sister into gymnastics at the age of five. She joined pre-team at MI Gymnastics in Merritt Island, FL. Following her level 4 season in 2010, Madelyn and her family relocated to Texas. So, Madelyn started training at Capital Gymnastics in Cedar Park, TX and has been there ever since. She continued competing level 5 in 2011, finishing seventh in the all-around at the State Championships.
Madelyn qualified to the Level 6 State Championships in 2012 and Level 7 State Championships in 2013. She moved up to level 8 for the 2014 season where she qualified to the Region 3 Championships. As a level 9 gymnast in 2015, Madelyn qualified to the Region 3 Championships. She was unable to compete in 2016 due to an injury but came back as a level 10 gymnast in 2017. She placed eighth on balance beam with a 9.300 at the 2017 Region 3 Championships. Madelyn was unable to compete most of the 2018 season due to an injury.
Madelyn trains 30 hours per week at Capital Gymnastics in Cedar Park, TX under coaches Barry Hyder, Pam Hyder and Jason Jerrett. She would like to become an elite gymnast. Her long-term goal is to obtain a Division I college gymnastics scholarship.
