Madelyn Grace Langkamp was born on March 15, 2000 in Madison, WI to Jeff and Amy Langkamp. She has a younger sister, Isabelle and a younger brother, Logan. Isabelle is also a gymnast at LaFleur's Gymnastics.

Madelyn is a senior at Brown Deer High School and she will graduate from high school in 2018. Her current cumulative GPA is a 4.303 and she earned Student of the Year (Norman Valde Award) when she was in eighth grade.

Madelyn had a lot of energy, so her mom decided to enroll her into gymnastics when she was three years old. She started her competitive gymnastics career at LaFleur's Gymnastics and has been there ever since. At the beginning of her gymnastics career, she trained under coaches Taylor and Josh Ames.

As a level 4 gymnast in 2008, Madelyn placed second in the all-around and second on uneven bars as well as first on floor exercise at the State Championships. In 2009, she earned a silver medal on vault at the Level 5 State Championships. Madelyn moved up to level 7 for the 2011 season where she finished fifth in the all-around, third on balance beam and second on floor exercise at the State Championships. In 2012, She grabbed gold medals on balance beam, floor exercise and in the all-around at the Level 8 State Championships.

In 2013, Madelyn began competing level 9. She finished second on vault and fifth in the all-around at the State Championships, qualifying to the Region 4 Championships. In 2014, she placed fifth in the all-around and second on floor exercise and qualified to the Region 4 Championships. Her career-high level 9 scores are 9.275 on vault, 9.400 on uneven bars, 9.175 on balance beam and 9.400 on floor exercise.

Madelyn moved up to level 10 for the 2015 season. She placed third in the all-around at the State Championships. Madelyn qualified to the Region 4 Championships where she finished 12th in the all-around and seventh on vault. In 2016, Madelyn won the uneven bars title at the State Championships and qualified to Regionals as a bars specialist. In 2017, Madelyn placed second on vault and floor exercise at the State Championships. At the Region 4 Championships, she finished fifth in the all-around and second on floor exercise. Madelyn qualified to the Junior Olympic Nationals in Indianapolis, IN.

Currently, Madelyn is preparing for the 2018 season as a level 10 gymnast. She trains 21.5 hours per week at LaFluer's Gymnastics in Germantown, WI under coaches Helen Mueller, Tammy Donahue and Ryan Newman. Madelyn is working hard to reach her goal to obtain a college scholarship to a Division 1 school.
