Madilyn Marie Probst was born on July 21, 1999 in Chicago, IL to Will and Dorene Probst. She has a younger brother, Jonathan who is a soccer player. Currently, Madilyn is a senior at Perry High School where she is taking three Honors classes. She will graduate in the spring of 2017.

At the age of two, Madilyn's mom put her into a tot class and quickly progressed in gymnastics. At the beginning of Madilyn's gymnastics career, she trained at Desert Lights Gymnastics. She started competing in 2007 as a level 5 gymnast. She started her 2007 season by winning four competitions at the School Days Invitational, PGA Invitational, Tumbleweeds Halloween Meet and Fall Round Up. Madilyn concluded her 2007 season at the Level 5 Arizona State Championships, where she won the all-around as well as all four event titles. Madilyn was also named to the Diamond National TOPs Team.

Madilyn began competing level 6 in January of 2008. She won floor and the all-around at the Winter Sun Invitational. At the Hard Rock Invitational, she won vault, balance beam, floor exercise and the all-around. She won vault, uneven bars, floor exercise and the all-around at the Cactus Cup. At the Arizona Spring Classic, she won balance beam and the all-around. In the fall, she won vault, uneven bars, floor exercise and the all-around at the School Days Invitational. At the PGA Invitational, she won uneven bars, balance beam, floor exercise and the all-around. She won uneven bars, floor exercise and the all-around at the Rock-n-Roll Classic. At the Halloween Invitational, she won vault, balance beam, floor exercise and the all-around. Madilyn ended her level six career at the State Championships, where she won balance beam, floor exercise and the all-around. With this result, Madilyn won the all-around at every level six meet. Madilyn also made the National TOPs Team.

After a successful season in 2008, Madilyn quickly moved up to level 7 in 2009. At the Winter Sun Invitational, she finished second in the all-around and second on balance beam. Madilyn won the all-around title at the San Diego Classic and placed third in the all-around at the Fiesta Bowl Invitational. Madilyn then finished eighth and third in the all-around at the Hardrock Invitational and Kim Bird Invitational respectively. At the Level 7 State Championships, she placed fourth overall as well as first on vault and floor exercise. Following the season, Madilyn had the honor of attending a developmental elite training camp. In the fall, she made her second National TOPs Team.

Madilyn competed as a level 8 and HOPES pre-elite gymnast in 2010. At the Winter Sun Invitational, she finished second on balance beam and in the all-around. Madilyn won a gold medal on balance beam at the Fiesta Bowl Invitational. She then finished second and fourth in the all-around at the Long Beach Open and Malibu Coast respectively. At the Level 8 State Championships, she finished second in the all-around, first on uneven bars, balance beam, floor exercise and second on vault. There, she qualified to the Level 8 Regionals, where she finished fourth in the all-around and second on vault. After Madilyn's level 8 season, she qualified to hopes pre-elite at the Arizona Elite Qualifier and competed at the US Challenge in Chicago, Illinois in July. At the US Challenge, she finished fourth in the all-around and second on uneven bars in hopes pre-elite 10-11 division. In the fall, Madilyn made the National TOPs Team for the fourth time.

In 2011 as a level 9 gymnast, Madilyn won the all-around title at the Fiesta Bowl Invitational. At the WOGA Classic in Texas, she earned a bronze medal on uneven bars. At the Emerald Team Challenge, Madilyn placed fourth in the all-around, first on uneven bars and third on balance beam. She swept gold medals at the Level 9 Arizona State Championships! She was unable to compete at the Regionals due to an injury. In May 2011, Madilyn began training at Gold Medal Gymnastics.

Madilyn started her 2013 season at the Cactus Cup, finishing second in the all-around and first on vault and floor exercise. At the State Championships, she placed fourth in the all-around and third on uneven bars. She had a solid meet at the Region 1 Championships where she finished eighth in the all-around and sixth on uneven bars. She qualified to the Junior Olympic Nationals in Minneapolis, MN. Madilyn was unable to compete in 2014 due to an injury.

In 2015, Madilyn finished fourth in the all-around and second on uneven bars at the Arizona Grand Invitational. At the Crystal Cup, she placed second in the all-around and second on uneven bars and balance beam. She earned gold medals on uneven bars and balance beam at the Classic Rock Invitational. At the State Championships, Madilyn placed third on uneven bars. She concluded her season at the Region 1 Championships, finishing sixth on uneven bars and seventh on floor exercise.

Madilyn finished sixth in the all-around with a 37.550 and second on balance beam at the 2016 State Championships. At the Region 1 Championships, she placed 12th overall and fifth on uneven bars.

Currently, Madilyn is preparing for the 2017 season. She trains about 28 hours per week at Gold Medal Gymnastics in Tempe, AZ under coaches Amanda Borden and Kristin Fanning. She would like to obtain a college scholarship to a Division 1 school.
