Madison Hope Zinn was born on June 16, 2001 in Zhejiang, China. She was adopted by Michael and Cathie Zinn when she was one year old. She currently lives in Watkinsville, GA with her parents and five siblings, Brandon, Leah, Abigail, Hannah and Raybon. Madison is an honor student at Georgia Virtual School and she will graduate from high school in 2020.

When Madison was first adopted, she was very underdeveloped and weak. Her parents put her in gymnastics to help her develop coordination and muscle. She started taking gymnastics classes at the age of three at Ultimate Gymnastics in Duluth, GA. After her level 5 season in 2010, Madison trained at Northwind Gymnastics in Alpharetta, GA under coaches Eleana Piskun and Inesa Shaurouskaya.

As a level 7 gymnast in 2012, Madison finished in the top ten in the all-around with a 36.275 at the State Championships. In 2013, Madison placed fourth in the all-around with a 36.800 and first on balance beam with a 9.625 at the Level 8 State Championships. At the Region 8 Championships, Madison placed tenth in the all-around with a 36.800 and third on balance beam with a 9.725.

Madison moved up to level 9 for the 2014 season. She placed 12th in the all-around, second on balance beam with a 9.450 and fourth on floor exercise scoring a 9.375 at the Region 8 Championships. Madison was ranked 20th on balance beam in the nation with a 9.700 in level 9. Madison competed in a few level 9 meets before moving up to level 10 in 2015. She qualified to the State Championships where she placed fifth on floor exercise. In the summer of 2015, Madison moved to Georgia Elite Gymnastics. Madison finished seventh on balance beam with a 9.300 and eighth on floor exercise with a 9.225 at the 2016 Level 10 State Championships. She did qualify to the Region 8 Championships but was unable to compete due to an injury. In 2017, Madison finished fourth on balance beam at the State Championships and qualified to Regionals. In 2018, Madison placed fifth on floor exercise with a 9.425 at the State Championships.

Madison trains 30 hours per week at Georgia Elite Gymnastics in Watkinsville, GA under coaches Pete Arenas, Keith Phillips and Cassidy McComb. Madison is working hard to become a successful level 10 gymnast, to qualify to the Junior Olympic Nationals and to obtain a Division I college gymnastics scholarship.
