Maeve was watching the 2012 Olympics and asked her mom if she could try gymnastics. She started taking gymnastics classes at the age of eight in 2012 at All American Gymnastics Academy in South Dakota. One short year later, she started competing level 3 during the 2013-2014 season where she won the all-around title at the State Championships. She was the 2015 Level 4 State All-Around, Uneven Bars and Floor Exercise Champion, 2016 Level 7 State All-Around and Vault Champion, 2017 Level 8 State Vault Champion, 2017 Level 8 Regional Floor Exercise Champion and 2018 Level 8 Regional Balance Beam Bronze Medalist.

Maeve moved up to level 9 for the 2019 season where she placed second in the all-around and second on vault, balance beam and floor exercise at the State Championships. At the Region 4 Championships, she placed fifth in the all-around and second on uneven bars. She qualified to the Level 9 Western Nationals in Spokane, WA where she placed second on floor exercise, third on uneven bars and 12th overall. In 2020, Maeve qualified to the Level 10 State Championships but was unable to compete due to COVID-19 pandemic.

In 2021, Maeve placed third on balance beam and fifth in the all-around at the Level 10 State Championships. She qualified to the Junior Olympic Nationals in Daytona Beach, FL after finishing fourth in the all-around and third on balance beam at the Region 4 Championships.

Currently, Maeve trains over 20 hours per week at V.I.P. Gymnastics in Sioux City, SD under coach Alisha Dykstra. She is working hard to qualify to the Junior Olympic Nationals. Her long-term goal is to compete for a college gymnastics team. Outside of gymnastics, Maeve enjoys hanging out with her friends, doing yoga, playing the ukulele, crafting and baking. She has an older sister, Keira and two younger sisters, Nora and Shay. Maeve is an honor student at her school with a 4.0 GPA.
