Maggie was always doing flips around the house, so her mom decided to enroll her into gymnastics when she was four years old. At the beginning of Maggie's gymnastics career, she trained at Champions Gymnastics for seven years. Maggie finished second in the all-around, first on balance beam and second on floor exercise at the 2011 Level 4 South State Championships. In 2012, she placed fifth in the all-around with a 38.250, third on floor exercise and fourth on balance beam at the Level 5 State Championships. Maggie made the America's Top 100 list for level 5 all-around score of 38.350.

Maggie skipped level 6 and moved up to level 7 for the 2014 season. She finished in the top 15 in the all-around with a 37.725 and third on floor exercise at the State Championships. She qualified to the Region 3 Championships where she placed seventh in the all-around with a 37.625, second on floor exercise and fourth on uneven bars. As a level 8 gymnast in 2015, Maggie finished ninth in the all-around with a 37.450 at the State Championships. At the Region 3 Championships, she placed eighth in the all-around with a 38.075 and fifth on balance beam and floor exercise.

In 2016, Maggie competed as a level 9 gymnast. She finished sixth in the all-around, first on floor exercise and third on balance beam at the State Championships. She qualified to the Region 3 Championships but was unable to compete due to an injury. Maggie made the America's Top 100 list for level 9 floor score of 9.725. Maggie did not compete in 2017 due to an injury.

As a first-year level 10 gymnast in 2018, Maggie placed ninth in the all-around and seventh on uneven bars and floor exercise at the State Championships. At the Region 3 Championships, she finished 11th in the all-around, seventh on floor exercise and eighth on balance beam.

Maggie trains 30 hours per week at Champions Gymnastics in Richmond, TX under coaches Johnnie Rae Schmeizer and Eddie Umphrey. Maggie's goals are to qualify to the Junior Olympic Nationals and to obtain a college gymnastics scholarship.
