Maya had a great meet at the Metroplex Challenge in Ft. Worth, TX where she won the all-around title with a 38.700 in her age group. She also placed first on balance beam and floor exercise scoring a 9.700 and 9.750 respectively and second on vault and uneven bars with a 9.700 and 9.550 respectively. Good job Maya!

At the Alamo Classic this weekend, Maya won the all-around title with a 38.150 in her age group. She had the highest all-around score in her age group and qualified to the Nastia Liukin Supergirl Cup to be held in Illinois in March. Maya also placed second on uneven bars and balance beam scoring a 9.550 and 9.575 respectively, third on vault with a 9.575 and fourth on floor exercise scoring a 9.450. Maya qualified to the event finals on the next day. Congratulations Maya! A new video has been posted.

Maya is excited to announce that she verbally committed to the University of California, Berkeley! She will join the gymnastics team during the 2018-2019 school year. Congratulations Maya!

Maya concluded her 2017 season today at the Junior Olympic Nationals in Indianapolis, IN. She had a great meet where she placed first in the all-around with a 38.425 out of 57 gymnasts in the Senior C session! She also placed second on uneven bars with a 9.650, third on floor exercise scoring a 9.650 and seventh on vault with a 9.725. Maya made the Junior Olympic National Team. Congratulations Maya!

Today at the Region 3 Championships Maya competed in the Senior C session, finishing second on bars with a 9.450 and third on vault with a 9.650, qualifying for the Junior Olympic Nationals in Indianapolis, IN. Good job Maya.

Maya competed at the State Championships in Coppell, TX today where she finished second in the all-around with a 38.575 in her age group. She also placed first on balance beam and floor exercise scoring a 9.600 and 9.750 respectively, third on uneven bars with a 9.550 and fourth on vault scoring a 9.675. Maya qualified to the Region 3 Championships in Denver, CO next month. Good job Maya!

Maya traveled to Las Vegas, NV for the Lady Luck Invitational this past weekend. She finished second in the all-around with a 37.375, first on uneven bars with a 9.425, second on floor exercise scoring a 9.575 and fifth on vault with a 9.550. Good job Maya!

Maya started her 2017 season at the Texas Shootout in Buda, TX yesterday where she won the all-around title with a 38.800 in her age group. She also swept gold medals on all events scoring a 9.825 on vault, 9.700 on uneven bars, 9.600 on balance beam and 9.675 on floor exercise. Maya finished first in entire level 10 meet in all age groups. Congratulations Maya!

Maya is honored to participate in the 2016 Kellogg's Tour of Gymnastic Champions, during its stop in San Antonio, TX on October 1. The tour will feature members of the 2012 and 2016 Olympic teams, as well as other, well-known names from the sport. USA Gymnastics extended the invitation based on Maya's 2016 Texas State Championship in the AA.

Maya won Capital Gymnastics' Level 10 Gymnast of the Year Award on May 21st. This marks the fifth time Maya has received this honor from Capital Gymnastics, previously being recognized as the Gymnast of the Year for for levels 4, 5, 8 and 9.
