Megan Walker was born on September 28, 1993 in Binghamton, NY. She has a brother, Steven and a sister, Ashley. Megan is in 12th grade at Montrose High School in PA.

When Megan turned at very young age of two, Megan's mom put all three kids into a pre-school program at Southern Tier Gymnastics Academy in New York. Both of Megan's siblings did not continue gymnastics but Megan has been there ever since! Megan's family have been friends of the family of her coach since she was a day old!

In 2004, Megan competed as a level 8. She placed ninth in the all-around at the Friendship Classic and 17th at the Pinky Stone. Megan finished fifth in the all-around at the Level 8 Regionals. Megan was second on floor exercise and third on uneven bars. Megan also competed at the American Challenge as a TOPs Elite.

As a first year level 10 in 2005, Megan started at the Buckeye Classic where she finished fourth in the all-around. She was 2nd on vault and 4th on floor exercise. At the Level 10 Regionals, she won the floor exercise title. By placing in the top seven all-around, she qualified for the Junior Olympic National Championships. Megan finished 47th in the all-around and 12th on balance beam at the JO Nationals. After the JO Nationals, she qualified for child pre-elite for the 2005 US Challenge where she finished 9th in the all-around and 5th on balance beam.

Megan continued competing as a level 10 in 2006. She finished second in the all-around at the I Love NY Cup and won the Penev's Classic competition. At the Level 10 Regionals, she became the alternate for JO Nationals after placing 8th in the all-around.

In 2007, Megan started her year at the I Love NY Cup where she finished fifth in the all-around and grabbed two silver medals on vault and floor exercise. After the Level 10 Regionals, Megan went to the July National Elite Qualifier where she qualified to pre-elite level. At the 2007 US Challenge, Megan only did balance beam and floor exercise.

In 2008, Megan started her season at the I Love NY Cup hosted by her gym. She placed third on everything, including the all-around. She then placed second on uneven bars at the Niagara Cup. At the Level 10 New York State Championships, Megan did really well by placing second in the all-around. She won the uneven bars title and placed second on floor exercise. At the Level 10 Regionals, Megan placed 2nd in the all-around as well as 2nd on bars, beam, and floor. She qualified to JO Nationals for the second time. At the 2009 US Classic, Megan finished 22nd in the all-around and 11th on uneven bars.

Megan started her 2009 season at the Parkette Invitational, where she finished sixth in the all-around and first on uneven bars. She then won silver medals on all events and in the all-around. Megan decided to continue her level 10 season and will try to re-qualify to international elite in 2010. Therefore, Megan qualified to Junior Olympic Nationals after finishing first in the all-around and won gold medals on uneven bars and balance beam. At the 2009 JO Nationals in Washington, she finished 14th in the all-around as well as third on uneven bars and fifth on floor exercise.

Megan's 2010 season started at the Sand Dollar Invitational in Florida. She finished second in the all-around, second on uneven bars and balance beam in the level 10 session. She then placed sixth in the all-around and third on vault in the elite session on the next day. At the I Love NY Cup, she placed second second on everything, including the all-around. At the Rochester Classic, she won the all-around title as well as first on uneven bars and second on balance beam. Megan then traveled to Ohio for the Buckeye Classic. On the first day, she finished fifth in the all-around and second on balance beam in the elite session. On the next day, she won the all-around title as well as first on bars, beam and floor in the level 10 session. There, she qualified to the Nastia Liukin Cup in Worcester, MA. Megan won another all-around title at the Pink Invitational. She also won gold medals on uneven bars and balance beam. Megan traveled to Worcester, MA for the Nastia Liukin Supergirl Classic where she finished 13th on unevne bars. At the Level 10 State Championships, she won the all-around title and second on balance beam. She then won another all-around title at the Level 10 Regional Championships. She also won gold medals on bars, beam and floor. There, she qualified to her 5th Junior Olympic National Championships in Dallas, TX! At the JO Nationals, she finished 15th in the all-around and second on uneven bars.

Besides the Junior Olympic program, Megan was a member of the 2002 National "B" Tops Team. Shen then qualified to National "A" TOPs Team in 2003 and 2004.
