February 13, 2010 | Two Gold Medals at Classic Rock
Earlier today, Melissa competed on three events at the Classic Rock Invitational. She won both vault and balance beam socring a 9.8 and 9.6 respectively. Good job Melissa! Melissa will go to the Development Camp in Huntsville, Texas on February 23.

February 9, 2010 | Fiesta Bowl Invitational
Melissa had another solid meet on vault, bars and beam this weekend at the Fiesta Bowl Invitational. She won beam and finished second on vault, scoring a 9.675 on both events.

January 18, 2010 | Lady Luck Invitational
Melissa competed on vault, bars and beam at the Lady Luck Invitational this weekend. She won bars with a 9.550 and beam with a 9.625. Great Job!

January 5, 2010 | US National Team Training Squad
Melissa was named to the USA National Team Training Squad. The members of this prestigious squad receive invitations to training camps at the National Team Training Center. Congratulations!

November 5, 2009
Melissa's 2009-2010 tentative schedule has been posted. Melissa has been invited to the US National Team Training Camp. This camp will take place from November 20-24. Melissa then will start her 2010 season at the Lady Luck Invitational in Las Vegas.

March 28, 2009 | State Floor Champion
Melissa competed on two events earlier at the Level 10 Arizona State Championships. She used this as a practice for upcoming competitions. She did really well, finishing first on floor exercise with a 9.7 and third on balance beam scoring 9.4. Good job Melissa!

February 23, 2009 | Great West Gymfest in Idaho
Melissa competed at the 2009 Great West Gymfest this past weekend in Idaho. She did really well, finishing second on balance beam with a 9.675 and third on floor exercise with a 9.3. She qualified for the balance beam final on the next day, where She finished second with a 9.5. Good job Melissa!

This past weekend, Melissa competed two events at the 2009 Hard Rock Invitationanl. She did really well, finishing first on balance beam and second on floor exercise scoring 9.475 and 9.6 respectively. Good job Melissa!

Melissa competed this past weekend at the 2009 Fiesta Bowl hosted by Desert Lights Gymnastics. Melissa only did two events but did really well. She finished first on balance beam scoring 9.750 and second on floor exercise with a 9.625. Good job Melisa!

January 18, 2009 | 2nd on Floor in Las vegas
Yesterday, Melissa traveled to Las Vegas, Nevada for the 2009 Lady Luck Invitational. She only did floor exercise, where she finished second in her age group with a 9.150. Good job Melissa!

June 7, 2008 | VISA Concludes Today in Boston
Melissa's first VISA Championships concluded today in Boston, MA. She did better today and improved her all-around score from 53.200 (prelims) to 54.550 (finals). She finished 20th in the all-around and tied for 8th on uneven bars. Good job Melissa at your first VISA Championships! Full results from today have been posted. We also added pictures and videos from prelims.

June 5, 2008 | 21st AA after Prelims in Boston
Melissa is in Boston, MA for the VISA Championships. Right now, she is 21st in the all-around. She had a rough time on almost all events. She started on floor exercise where she scored 13.05. She then did a Yurchenko full on vault scoring 13.5. On uneven bars, Melissa placed 14th scoring 13.45. On the last event, balance beam, she scored 13.2. Melissa will continue her competition during the finals on Saturday at 10:30 am EST. One new article as well as full results have been posted.

May 29, 2008 | VISA Championships Next Week
Melissa's first VISA Championships will begin next week! The first day of competition will be on Thursday, June 5 at 1:00 PM EST. The second day will be on Saturday, June 7 at 10:30 AM EST. On the first day of competition, Melissa will be 5th gymnast up on floor exercise during first rotation.

To qualify to be on the Junior USA National Team, Melissa will need an average all-around of 54 (combining day 1 and day 2 scores) or higher and place in the top 12.

USA Gymnastics, International Gymnast, and Inside Gymnastics will provide live scoring, news, pictures, etc during the VISA Championships. We will do our best to keep Melissa's website updated as soon as we get news and results. You can see the schedule (juniors only) for next week below.
