Meredith Paige Robinson was born on January 18, 2000 in Voorhees, NJ to J. Michael and Linda Robinson. She has a sister, Melanie and a brother, Mitchel. Currently, Meredith is a senior at Cox Mill High School, graduating in the spring of 2018. Meredith frequently volunteers with her mom at the Salvation Army Soup Kitchen in Concord, NC.
Meredith started gymnastics for fun and due to her natural gymnastic abilities when she was three years old. At the beginning of Meredith's gymnastics career, she trained at X-Cel Gymnastics in Cranberry Twp., PA. Right before she started competing in compulsory, she moved to GymMasters Gym Academy in South Carolina. When she was at GymMasters, Meredith finished seventh in the all-around and fourth on uneven bars at the 2009 Level 7 State Championships.
After Meredith's level 7 season in 2009, she started training at Everest Gymnastics Training Center in Huntersville, NC. As a level 7 gymnast in 2009, Meredith placed first on balance beam and in the all-around at the State Championships. She qualified to the Region 8 Championships where she placed second in the all-around with a 38.150 and first on uneven bars.
Meredith moved up to level 8 for the 2010 season. She finished first on uneven bars, balance beam, floor exercise and in the all-around with a 38.050 at the State Championships. At the Region 8 Championships, Meredith grabbed gold medals on uneven bars, floor exercise and in the all-around with a 38.350.
In 2012 as a level 9 gymnast, Meredith placed eighth in the all-around, first on uneven bars and third on floor exercise at the State Championships. She qualified to the Level 9 Eastern Nationals after finishing fifth in the all-around and first on uneven bars at the Region 8 Championships. At Easterns, she finished tenth in the all-around, first on uneven bars and seventh on balance beam. Meredith repeated level 9 in 2013. At the State Championships, she placed second on vault, balance beam and in the all-around with a 37.625. Meredith finished third in the all-around and third on vault at the Region 8 Championships. This qualified her to the Level 9 Eastern Nationals for the second time. She had a great meet at Easterns, finishing fifth in the all-around, second on uneven bars, seventh on balance beam and sixth on floor exercise.
As a first-year level 10 gymnast in 2014, Meredith placed fourth on uneven bars with a 9.375 at the State Championships. She was unable to compete at Regionals due to an injury. In 2015, Meredith did really well at the State Championships where she placed fourth in the all-around and fifth on floor exercise. She qualified to the Region 8 Championships. In 2016, Meredith finished third in the all-around with a 37.625, second on uneven bars and fourth on floor exercise at the State Championships, qualifying to Regionals.
In 2017, Meredith finished first in the all-around with a 38.125, first on floor exercise and second on uneven bars at the State Championships. At the Region 8 Championships, she earned a bronze medal on uneven bars.
Currently, Meredith is preparing for the 2018 season as a level 10 gymnast. She trains 30 hours per week at Everest Gymnastics Training Center under coaches Yiwen Chen and Qi Han. Meredith would like to obtain a college scholarship to a D1 school.
