Mia's preschool took the students to gymnastics once a week as part of their program and Mia fell in love with the sport. She started her competitive gymnastics career at North Shore Gymnastics in Mandeville, LA where she trained under coaches James Guidry, Bruce McGartlin, Catherine Caserta and Nataliya Golberg. She competed level 3 and level 4 in 2009, level 5 in 2011 and level 6 in 2012.

In 2013, Mia finished fifth in the all-around with a 38.550, first on vault and fifth on uneven bars at the Level 7 Region 8 Championships. Earlier in the season, she scored a 39.000 at the Purple & Gold Meet and 38.850 at the WOGA Classic. Mia's level 7 high scores were a 9.725 on vault, 9.850 on uneven bars, 9.850 on balance beam and 9.900 on floor exercise.

Mia quickly moved up to level 8 for the 2014 season where she finished first in the all-around with a 37.625, first on balance beam and second on uneven bars and floor exercise at the State Championships. She qualified to the Region 8 Championships where she placed 11th in the all-around with a 37.200 and seventh on vault. Mia's level 8 high scores were a 9.625 on vault, 9.450 on uneven bars, 9.500 on balance beam and 9.650 on floor exercise. In the summer of 2014, Mia moved to Cypress Pointe Gymnastics in Ponchatoula, LA.

As a level 9 gymnast in 2015, Mia finished third in the all-around and first on vault and balance beam at the State Championships. At the Region 8 Championships, she placed in the top twenty in the all-around and seventh on vault. Mia's level 9 high scores were a 9.400 on vault, 9.225 on uneven bars, 9.300 on balance beam and 9.400 on floor exercise. Mia moved up to level 10 for the 2016 season where she finished third in the all-around, first on floor exercise and second on balance beam at the State Championships. She qualified to the Region 8 Championships.

Currently, Mia is preparing for the 2017 season as a second-year level 10 gymnast. She trains 21-23 hours per week at Cypress Pointe Gymnastics in Ponchatoula, LA under coaches Bryan Neal and Donna Ewing. She is working hard to become a successful level 10 gymnast and to qualify to the Junior Olympic Nationals. Her long-term goal is to obtain a Division I college gymnastics scholarship.
