Natalie began gymnastics at the age of two after her mom took her to the little and gymnastics place. Natalie wanted to be there everyday because she had so much of fun! There, Natalie began her competitive career at WOGA Dallas under coach Virginia Foderick.
She began competing in the fall of 2004 as a level four. She won the all-around and uneven bars titles at the 2005 WOGA Classic. She moved up to level five that fall. She won the all-around title at the Rising Stars Invitational. She qualified to the Level 5 State Championships in the gold division, where she finished fourth on floor exercise. At the 2006 WOGA Classic, she placed second in the all-around and first on vault, balance beam and floor exercise. Natalie moved up to level six for the fall season. At the Level 6 District Championships, she placed third on vault and floor exercise. She then finished third on floor exercise at the North State Championships. At the Level 6 State Championships, she finished fourth in the all-around.
In 2007, Natalie competed one meet as a level seven, finishing in the top ten at the WOGA Classic. In 2008, she moved up to level eight. She won the floor exercise title at the WOGA Classic. At the Rose City Classic, she won the all-around. Natalie then placed fifth in the all-around at the Level 8 State Championships. Natalie ended her 2008 season by winning the Level 8 Regional Championships. In addition to the all-around, she won balance beam and floor exercise.
Natalie had great results as a level nine in 2009. She finished third in the all-around at the WOGA Classic and second in the all-around at the Great West Gym Fest. In the Event Finals at the Great West Gym Fest, she won both balance beam and floor exercise titles. Natalie finished fourth in the all-around at the Level 9 State Championships. At the Level 9 Regional Championships, she placed second in the all-around and qualified to the Level 9 Western Nationals. Natalie ended her season at the Level 9 Western Nationals, where she won the balance beam title and finished fourth overall.
She continued competing level nine in 2010. Natalie placed second on vault, floor exercise and in the all-around at the Metroplex Challenge. She finished first on balance beam and in the all-around at the Houston National Invitational. Natalie then placed third in the all-around at the Level 9 State Championships. At the Regional Championships, she won vault, floor exercise and the all-around. There, she qualified to the Level 9 Western Nationals in Des Moines, Iowa for the second time. At the Level 9 Western Nationals, Natalie placed fifth in the all-around and third on floor exercise. After the 2010 competitive season ended, Natalie began training level 10 for 2011, but her season was cut short by a foot injury after she competed in the Chicago Style Meet in February 2011. In May of 2011, Natalie successfully recovered from her injury.
Natalie started her 2012 season at the Fiesta Bowl Invitational, finishing seventh on her only event, balance beam. At the WOGA CLassic, she finished ninth on vault and floor exercise. She then placed sixth on vault at the Texas Prime Meet and Houston National Invitational. At the Texas State Championships, Natalie finished seventh on vault and balance beam as well as floor exercise, qualifying to the Level 10 Regionals as a three-event specialist. A few weeks later, Natalie placed seventh on balance beam at the Level 10 Regionals.
Currently, Natalie is preparing for the upcoming 2013 season with her coaches Laurent Landi and Natasha Boyarskaya at WOGA. She hopes to have a successful season as a level 10 gymnast. Natalie's long-term goal is to receive a full ride scholarship to a Division I school.
Singing is Natalie’s passion outside of the gymnastics world. After winning first place in a Music and Arts contest in 2008, Natalie began vocal and piano training at Septien Entertainment Group in Carrollton, TX. Since then she has performed in several showcases with Septien including a recent commercial showcase in May 2011 at The House of Blues in Dallas, TX. Natalie plans to continue to study vocal performance, and her future dream is to go on tour as a singer and entertainer.
Natalie Hannah Brown was born on July 12, 1996 in Dallas, Texas to Jessica and Michael Brown. Natalie has a twin sister, Caroline and an older sister, Rebecca. She is a sophomore at J.J. Pearce High School, graduating in 2014. During Natalie's spare time, she likes baking, shopping, singing and writing songs.
