Norah Irene Flatley was born on March 10, 2000 in San Diego, CA. She is the youngest of four children to Terry and Ann Flatley. She has an older brother, Jacob who serves in the United States Marine Corps and two older sisters, Kyla and Anna. During Norah's spare time, she enjoys doing her nails and shopping.

When Norah was five years old, her sister was taking gymnastics at that time, she wanted to copy them! So, her parents enrolled Norah into gymnastics in 2005 and never looked back. Norah started her competitive gymnastics career at Salto Gymnastics in Waukesha, Wisconsin where she trained under coaches Natalia Stenenkova and James "JC" Chudy. When Norah was at Salto Gymnastics, she was the Level 8 State uneven bars, floor exercise and all-around champion and Level 8 Regional uneven bars, balance beam, floor exercise and all-around champion.

In the summer of 2010, Norah and her family relocated to Cumming, Iowa, so Norah could train under coaches Liang Chow and Liwen Zhaung at Chow's Gymnastics and Dance Institute. Norah competed level 9 for the 2011 season where she grabbed gold medals on uneven bars, balance beam and in the all-around at the Region 4 Championships. At the Level 9 Western Nationals, she placed first on balance beam, floor exercise and in the all-around as well as second on uneven bars. Norah quickly moved up to level 10 for the 2012 season. She finished first on uneven bars, balance beam and in the all-around at the State Championships. At the Region 4 Championships, she placed second in the all-around with a 38.025, first on uneven bars, second on balance beam and fourth on floor exercise. She qualified to the Junior Olympic Nationals in Hampton, VA where she placed third in the all-around and first on balance beam. She made the Junior Olympic National Team.

After a successful level 10 season, Norah began training for elite. In June 2013, Norah easily passed compulsories with a 37.225. On the next day, she finished second in the all-around and first on uneven bars and balance beam in optionals. She obtained her qualifying score and qualified to junior international elite. In July, Norah traveled to Chicago, IL for the Secret US Classic. She finished impressive fourth in the all-around with a 56.500, fourth on uneven bars and first on balance beam. In August, Norah competed at the P&G Championships in Hartford, CT and placed fifth in the all-around, sixth on uneven bars and second on balance beam. She made the Junior US National Team.

In March 2014, Norah was selected to represent the United States at the City of Jesolo Trophy in Jesolo, Italy. She helped the USA team to win the team title ahead of Romania and Italy. Individually, Norah placed third in the all-around and first on balance beam. A few weeks later, Norah went to Richmond, Canada for the Pacific Rim Championships. The USA team finished first ahead of Canada and China and Norah finished third in the all-around in the junior session, however, due to two-per-country rule, she did not officially get the bronze medal. Norah qualified to uneven bars and balance beam event finals and placed fourth and first respectively. In August, Norah traveled to Chicago, IL for the Secret US Classic where she placed third in the all-around, third on uneven bars and first on balance beam. A few weeks later, she competed at the P&G Championships in Pittsburgh, PA. She did really well, finishing third in the all-around, second on uneven bars and fourth on balance beam. She made the Junior US National Team.

In 2015, Norah was select to represent the United States at the City of Trophy Meet in Jesolo, Italy. On the first day of meet, she helped the junior team to win team gold medal. Individually, she finished second overall with a 57.450. On the next day, she competed in three event finals where she earned a gold medal on balance beam and silver medals on uneven bars and floor exercise.

Currently, Norah is preparing for the upcoming 2017 season. Norah is a member of the Junior US National Team where she attends US National Training Camp almost every month. Norah dreams of traveling the world as an elite gymnast and representing USA.
