At only 16 years old, Rheagan Courville has accomplished so much in her gymnastics career. She began her gymnastics career at the young age of five and has been training gymnastics for the past nine years. Rheagan is international elite, the highest level of gymnastics. She trained under Johnny Moyal and Jessica Connor in Baton Rouge, Louisiana at Elite Gymnastics where Carly Patterson got her start before moving to WOGA until September 2009. Currently, Rheagan trains at Gymnasiana under Richard Badeaux and Paul Gautreaux.

Rheagan was a Level 7 State Champion, Level 8 State Champion, and Level 8 Regional Champion. Her Level 7 season was so successful, she never placed lower than second at any one meet. The impressive showings continued through her Level 8 season where she won every competition she competed in. She only competed in one meet as a Level 9 and went straight to being a Level 10 gymnast. In 2004 at only eleven years old, she won the first three competitions that she entered as a Level 10. Rheagan qualified to the Regionals where she placed third in the all-around and came home with two gold medals on balance beam and floor exercise. Rheagan ended her season as a Junior Olympic Competitor.

In 2005, at 12 years old Rheagan qualified to international elite from a training camp in Texas, on her first attempt. She also qualified directly to the VISA Championships. However, she injured her elbow and missed the VISA Championships. She let her elbow heal and got prepare for the new code and a new year. In the beginning of 2006, Rheagan qualified directly to the VISA Championships from the May Training Camp by winning all-around, vault, balance beam, and floor exercise.

Rheagan competed at US Classic in Kansas City, Missouri. Even though she had already qualified to the VISA Championships, she used the meet as practice for her new routines. She had very impressive results on all events except for uneven bars, which she did not compete. Rheagan was still very new to the elite scene when she entered into her first VISA Championships. She had impressive results on the first day of Nationals, placing tenth all-around out of thirty-two competitors! She also placed seventh on vault, eleventh on balance beam, and tied for third on floor exercise. Rheagan only compete three events on the second day of Nationals due to an elbow injury. She placed sixth on balance beam and eighth on floor exercise.

After a good start during Rheagan's first year as junior international elite, 2007 was even better. At the beginning of the year, Rheagan traveled to the National Training Center for the American Classic where She placed an impressive second in the all-around and won a gold medal on balance beam. Rheagan continued to earn outstanding results at 2007 US Classic where she crowned as the 2007 US Classic Champion in the all-around and balance beam. She also placed second on floor exercise. At the VISA Championships in San Jose, California, Rheagan was aiming for a spot on the Junior National Team. After the first day of the competition, Rheagan tied for fourth in the all-around and second on balance beam. On the final day of the VISA Championships, Rheagan was solid on all events until she arrived to balance beam. Unfortunately, she fell on her standing Arabian. However, she still finished fifth in the all-around and made the US National Team for the first time!
