Rylie Campbell was born on August 11, 2002 in Michigan to John and Michelle Campbell. She has a brother, Jackson and a dog named Marley Blu. Currently, Rylie is an honor student at Lakeland High School and she will graduate from high school in 2020. She is a member of Joi Club (Promotes volunteer work and community service projects). Outside of gymnastics, Rylie enjoys water sports and baking.

Rylie was an ice skater for years before she decided to try gymnastics. She loved skating but was always watching gymnastics on television and gymnastics videos. She was always doing gymnastics around the house as well. When she was eight years old, she decided she wanted to try gymnastics. Rylie was hooked after one session and wanted gymnastics full time. She was put into pre-team at and has been in love with the sport ever since. Rylie has been training at Oakland Gymnastics Training Center her whole gymnastics career.

As a level 4 gymnast in 2012, Rylie finished first in the all-around with a 37.275 and first on balance beam at the State Championships. She moved up to level 5 for the next two seasons where she placed sixth in the all-around with a 37.200 at the 2013 State Championships and fourth in the all-around with a 37.100 at the 2014 State Championships. Rylie skipped level 6 and quickly moved up to level 7 for the 2015 season. Rylie had a great season in 2015, finishing first in the all-around with a 37.675 and first on balance beam and floor exercise at the State Championships.

Rylie moved up to level 8 for the 2016 season. She finished sixth in the all-around with a 37.200 and sixth on balance beam and floor exercise at the State Championships. She qualified to the Region 5 Championships. Rylie continued competing level 8 in 2017 where she finished second in the all-around with a 37.225, first on balance beam and third on vault. She qualified to the Region 5 Championships, finishing sixth in the al-around, second on balance beam and third on vault. Rylie competed as a level 9 gymnast for the 2018 season where she qualified to the Region 5 Championships. In 2019, Rylie placed sixth in the all-around and third on balance beam at the State Championships. She qualified to the Level 9 Eastern Nationals after finishing seventh in the all-around, first on balance beam and second on vault at the Region 5 Championships.

Rylie trains over 20 hours per week at Oakland Gymnastics Training Center in Walled Lake, MI under coaches Ruth Miller, Chris Miller, Renee Henry and Mel Foster. Her long-term goal is to compete for a college gymnastics team.
