Sabriyya Janelle Rouse was born on April 1, 2000 in Raleigh, North Carolina to Terrence and Wadeya Rouse. She has a younger brother, Olu and a dog named Diamond. Currently, Sabriyya is a senior at Greene Hop High School where she will graduate in 2017.

At the age of three, Sabriyya's parents enrolled her into several sports and she liked gymnastics the best. She has been competing at Team Attraction Gymnastics (TAG) in Apex, NC her whole gymnastics career.

As a level 4 gymnast in 2007, Sabriyya finished third in the all-around and second on floor exercise at the State Championships. She moved up to level 5 for the 2008 where she placed third in the all-around and second on vault and uneven bars at the State Championships. Sabriyya tested out level 6 in 2009 and started competing in level 7 for the 2010 season. She placed first on vault and third on floor exercise at the Flip Fest Invitational. At the Tiger Paw Classic, she placed third in the all-around and first on vault. She did really well at the Sweetheart Invitational, finishing first on balance beam, third on uneven bars and sixth in the all-around. Sabriyya finished fourth in the all-around and third on vault and floor exercise at the State Championships. She qualified to the Level 7 Regionals where she placed 12th in the all-around and fifth on vault.

Sabriyya moved up to level 8 for the 2011 season. She finished third in the all-around and first on balance beam at the North Carolina Judges Cup. At the Tiger Paw Classic, she placed third in the all-around and second on balance beam and floor exercise. She finished with in the all-around and third on floor exercise at the Charleston Cup. At the State Championships, Sabriyya placed seventh in the all-around and fourth on uneven bars. She concluded her season at the Region 8 Championships, finishing fifth in the all-around and sixth on uneven bars and floor exercise.

In 2012, Sabriyya started her level 9 season at the North Carolina Judges Cup where she placed fourth in the all-around and second on floor exercise. She finished fourth on vault at the Excalibur Cup and State Championships. At the Region 8 Championships, Sabriyya earned a silver medal on vault. Sabriyya continued competing level 9 in 2013. She finished first on vault, uneven bars, balance beam and in the all-around. At the Tiger Paw Classic, she placed first on uneven bars and second on balance beam. At the Hang 10.0 Invitational, she grabbed gold medals on uneven bars and balance beam. She finished third on balance beam at the Pink Invitational. At the State Championships, Sabriyya placed 10th in the all-around, eighth on uneven bars and sixth on balance beam. She did really well at the Region 8 Championships where she finished second in the all-around, first on vault and uneven bars and second on balance beam. This qualified Sabriyya to the Level 9 Eastern Nationals and placed eighth in the all-around, first on vault nd fourth on balance beam and floor exercise.

As a first-year level 10 gymnast in 2014, Sabriyya finished second in the all-around and first on balance beam at the Ozone Invitational. She placed third on balance beam and fourth on uneven bars at the Manhattan Classic. At the Greensboro Invitational, she finished second on vault and third on balance beam, floor exercise and in the all-around. Sabriyya won the all-around title at the Charleston Cup. At the State Championships, she finished fifth in the all-around, third on floor exercise and fourth on vault and balance beam. She placed seventh in the all-around and second on vault. Sabriyya qualified to the Junior Olympic Nationals in Jackson, MS where she finished 22nd in the all-around and eighth on balance beam out of 56 gymnasts.

In 2015, Sabriyya placed fifth in the all-around and second on floor exercise at the Atlanta Crown Invitational. She finished third in the all-around and second on balance beam at the Sand Dollar Invitational. At the Greensboro Invitational, Sabriyya finished second on vault and third on floor exercise. She placed fifth on uneven bars and sixth on balance beam at the State Championships. She concluded her season at the Region 8 Championships, finishing 11th in the all-around and fourth on vault.

Sabriyya earned a silver medal on floor exercise with a 9.625 at the 2016 State Championships. At the Region 8 Championships, she placed fifth in the all-around with a 37.300 and third on floor exercise. She qualified to the Junior Olympic Nationals in Ft. Worth, TX where she placed 13th in the all-around witha 37.575.

Currently, Sabriyya is preparing for the 2017 season as a level 10 gymnast. She trains 20 hours per week at Team Attraction Gymnastics (TAG) in Apex, NC under coaches Monica Ward, Scott Wilson, and Lauren Elliott. She is working hard to qualify to the Junior Olympic Nationals the next few years as well as to compete for a college gymnastics team.
