Sarah Stewart was born on July 10, 2003 in Texas to Derek and Jennifer Stewart. She has a younger sister, Hannah and two cats named Tilly and Ollie. Sarah is an honor student at iUniversity Prep and she will graduate from high school in 2021. Sarah is currently ranked #1 in her graduating class as of end of fall semester 2019. During Sarah's spare time, she enjoys baking, reading, watching movies and spending time with her family.

When Sarah was playing soccer, she was always hanging from the goalpost and was doing cartwheels. She started taking gymnastics classes for fun when she was six years old at Texas Elite Gymnastics. As a level 5 gymnast in 2011, Sarah placed second in the all-around with a 38.000 and first on balance beam and floor exercise. She was named to America's Top 100 on floor exercise. Following her level 5 season, Sarah moved to Zenith Elite Gymnastics Academy in McKinney, TX and has been there ever since.

Sarah made TOPs "B" National Team in 2011 and qualified to the 2012 TOPs National Team Camp but was unable to attend due to a minor injury. In 2013 as a level 7 gymnast, Sarah placed third in the all-around with a 38.525 and first on uneven bars and balance beam at the State Championships. In the fall, Sarah made TOPs "A" National Team and received bronze on physical abilities. She moved up to level 8 for the 2014 season where she placed third in the all-around with a 38.525 and fourth on balance beam. She qualified to the Region 3 Championships, finishing seventh in the all-around with a 37.800 and seventh on uneven bars.

Sarah skipped level 9 and quickly moved up to level 10 and hopes pre-elite in 2015. She passed compulsories, a portion of elite testing at the Buckeye Elite Qualifier. Sarah traveled to Canada for the Gymnix International where she placed eighth on uneven bars. She was invited to attend development camps at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Huntsville, TX.

In 2016, Sarah placed second on uneven bars and third on balance beam at the Friends of Achievers Invitational. At the Texas Prime Meet, she placed third on uneven bars. Sarah passed compulsories again in hopes pre-elite at the Gliders Elite Qualifier. Soon after, she traveled to Las Vegas, NV for the Brestyan's Elite Qualifier. However, she landed wrong and got contusions on both heels and fractured her fibula on floor exercise, her first event of the meet. Therefore, she was unable to compete rest of the 2016 season.

In November of 2016, Sarah and her club teammates traveled to Germany for the Hamburg StarCup where she placed seventh out of 57 juniors. Soon after, Sarah began getting sick. In January 2017, she had a MRI that showed she had a mass behind her sinus cavity. The next week, Sarah underwent major surgery to remove the mass. Sarah was finally released by the doctors in November of 2017 to return to training. In 2018, Sarah won the uneven bars at the Nadia Comaneci Invitational. At the Zenith Winter Classic, she earned gold medals on uneven bars and in the all-around. She qualified to the Level 10 State Championships but did not compete. In 2018, Sarah moved to Denton Gymnastics Academy in Denton, TX.

Sarah trains 20 hours per week at Denton Gymnastics Academy in Denton, TX under Rodica and Aurel Lazar. Sarah is working hard to become a successful level 10 gymnast as well as to obtain a Division I college gymnastics scholarship.
