Sarina Elizabeth-Jackson Ross was born on March 4, 2002 in California to Steven and Sheryl Ross. She is a full-time student at Immaculate Heart High School and will graduate in 2020. During Sarina's spare time, she enjoys playing with her German Shepherd named Jazzy, volunteering and watching movies. She volunteers at Pasadena Humane Society and LA Kitchen and for Seniors. She also makes paracord bracelets for the military,.

Sarina was born over three months pre-mature, weighing 1 pound, 8 ounces. Part of her development process as a baby was stretching her arms and legs several times a day. When Sarina mastered the monkey bars and showed great flexibility at three years old, her parents decided to put her in kinder gym and ballet. The gym coach quickly told us she had talent and we should put her in a competitive gym. The ballet teacher wanted her to go enpointe at five, so her parents had to make a choice between gymnastics and ballet. Sarina started at Gymnastics Olympica shortly after and began competing at the age of six and she has loved gymnastics ever since.

As a level 7 gymnast in 2014, Sarina placed fourth in the all-around with a 37.650, first on uneven bars and second on floor exercise. She qualified to the Region 1 Championships, finishing fourth in the all-around with a 37.650, first on floor exercise and fourth on uneven bars. Sarina moved up to level 8 for the 2015 season, finishing fifth overall with a 37.575 and first on balance beam at the State Championships. She qualified to the Region 1 Championships where she placed second in the all-around with a 37.400, first on balance beam and fourth on vault.

Sarina competed as a level 9 the next two seasons. In 2016, she qualified to the Region 1 Championships. She had a great meet at the 2017 Level 9 State Championships, finishing first in the all-around with a 37.925, first on balance beam and second on vault and uneven bars. At the Region 1 Championships, she placed in the top ten in the all-around with a 37.075, second on vault and third on floor exercise. Sarina was the alternate for the Level 9 Western Nationals in both years. As a first-year level 10 gymnast tin 2018, Sarina qualified to the Region 1 Championships.

Sarina trains 21-25 hours per week at Paramount Elite Gymnastics in Van Nuys, CA under coaches Sarah Korngold and Liang Zhao. Sarina is working hard to qualify to the Junior Olympic Nationals in 2019. Her long-term goal is to compete for a college gymnastics team.
