Savannah Scott Gigandet was born on November 19, 1998 to Scott and Mary Gigandet. She has two sisters, Genevieve (A collegiate diver) and Aisling and a golden doodle named Saydi. Savannah enjoys playing the flute in her school band, reading and skiing.

Currently, Savannah is a senior at Connections Academy and she will graduate from high school in 2017. Savannah attended public school during her freshman and sophomore years. When she was at Central Catholic, she received award for highest grade out of the freshman class in English and music and was on distinguished honors.

Savannah is coaching gymnastics for the Special Olympics helping children prepare for the games in June 2015. She also coached developmental level 3 gymnasts in the summer of 2014 at Phantom Gymnastics as a volunteer/intern.

As a level 6 gymnast in 2009, Savannah placed second on uneven bars and sixth in the all-around at the State Championships. She moved up to level 7 for the 2010 season where she placed second in the all-around at the Brestyan's Invitational and first in the all-around at the Bay State Classic.

Savannah moved up to level 8 for the 2011 season where she placed first in the all-around at the National Judges Cup and DGS Invitational. She also placed in the top three at the Valentine Ball, Hip Hop Classic and Exxcel Beach Party.

In 2012, Savannah qualified to the Level 9 State Championships where she placed fourth on balance beam. In 2013, she placed third in the all-around at the Holiday Invitational, Boston Classic and Ocean State Classic. At the State Championships, she finished third in the all-around, first on uneven bars and second on floor exercise. Savannah placed third in the all-around and second on balance beam at the Region 6 Championships, qualifying to the Eastern Nationals.

Savannah did really well in 2014 where she placed first in the all-around at the Dream Big Invitational and Starlight Invitational. She also placed in the top four at the Manhattan Classic and Winter Challenge. Savannah finished fifth in the all-around and second on uneven bars at the State Championships. At the Region 6 Championships, she grabbed gold medals on balance beam, floor exercise and in the all-around. This qualified Savannah to the Level 9 Eastern Nationals, finishing 14th in the all-around and fifth on balance beam.

In 2015, Savannah won the floor exercise title at the Holiday Invitational and earned a bronze medal on uneven bars at the New England Classic. At the Dream Big Invitational, she placed first on vault, balance beam, floor exercise and in the all-around. Savannah grabbed gold medals on balance beam, floor exercise and in the all-around at the Brestyan's Invitational. At the Tim Daggett Invitational, she placed third in the all-around and first on balance beam. She finished second in the all-around and first on floor exercise at the Valentine Masquerade Ball. Savannah did really well at the Starlight Invitational, finishing second in the all-around and first on balance beam and floor exercise. At the State Championships, she finished third in the all-around, first on uneven bars and second on vault and balance beam. Savannah placed second in the all-around and third on uneven bars and floor exercise at the Region 6 Championships. She qualified to the Level 9 Eastern Nationals in Kissimmee, FL where she placed ninth in the all-around and first on balance beam.

In 2016, Savannah moved up to level 10. She finished fourth in the all-around and second on uneven bars at the New England Classic. She placed first on balance beam and third on floor exercise at the Little Boston Invitational. Savannah then won the balance beam title at the Brestyan's Invitational and Sand Dollar Invitational. She did not compete rest of the season due to an injury.

Currently, Savannah is preparing for the 2017 season as a level 10 gymnast. She trains 22 hours per week at Phantom Gymnastics in Hampstead, NH under coaches Tammy Kozlowski, Kristie Miller and Stephen Darrigo. Her long-term goal is to obtain a college scholarship to a Division 1 school.
