Shannon Furletti was born on March 10, 2001 in New Jersey to Richard and Amanda Furletti. She has two older brothers, Thomas and Joey and a younger sister, Faith. Her sister, Faith is also a level 9 gymnast at Aeon Fitness and Gymnastics. Currently, Shannon is an honor student at The Academy of the Holy Angels (AHA) and she will graduate from high school. She has been an altar server at her church for seven years. In the summer of 2017, she volunteered at Camp Sunshine, assisting handicapped people of all ranges and ages.
Shannon started recreational gymnastics at three years old and she loved it from day one. Her coaches loved her, they commented on her strength, listening skills, and willingness to learn and try new things. At the age of five, she was invited to be on team at Aeon Fitness and Gymnastics in Hillsdale, NJ and has been there ever since.
As a level 7 gymnast in 2013, Shannon placed sixth on vault at the State Championships. She moved up to level 8 for the 2014 season where she scored a 37.100 in the all-around and placed seventh on balance beam at the State Championships. She qualified to the Region 7 Championships, finishing in the top 15 in the all-around, first on floor exercise with a 9.500 and seventh on balance beam scoring a 9.425. Shannon continued competing level 8 in 2015. She placed first in the all-around with a 37.725, second on vault and uneven bars and third on balance beam and floor exercise at the State Championships. At the Region 7 Championships, Shannon placed sixth in the all-around with a 37.150 and seventh on balance beam.
In 2016, Shannon moved up to level 9. She was unable to compete most of the season due to an injury, but she did qualify to the State Championships. In 2017, Shannon competed at the Level 9 State Championships where she placed eighth in the all-around and fifth on vault.
Shannon is also a member of her high school gymnastics. Some of her high school achievements include:

Shannon trains about 20 hours per week at Aeon Fitness and Gymnastics in Hillsdale, NJ under coaches Roberta (Beta) Terra-Monari and Iurii Timofeev. Shannon would like to compete for a college gymnastics team.
