Sheridan did really well at the JO Nationals in Hampton, VA last night. She finished fifth in the all-around with a 38.000 out of 56 gymnasts in the Senior D session. She finished fourth on uneven bars with a 9.550. Good job Sheridan!

Yesterday at the Region 1 Championships in Las Vegas, Nevada, Sheridan finished third in the all-around with a 38.025 in the Senior D session! She placed second on vault with a 9.650, third on uneven bars scoring a 9.525, fourth on balance beam with a 9.400 and fifth on floor exercise with a 9.450. After placing in the top seven, Sheridan also qualified to the JO Nationals next month in Hampton, VA. Congratulations!

Sheridan did really well today at the Level 10 Arizona State Championships, winning the all-around title with a 37.425 in the Senior C session. She earned gold medals on vault, uneven bars and floor exercise scoring a 9.500, 9.575 and 9.250 respectively. She also earned a silver medal on balance beam with a 9.100. Good job Sheridan!

Sheridan traveled to California for the Malibu Coast Challenge where she finished second in the all-around with a 37.300. She placed first on uneven bars scoring a 9.425, second on floor exercise with a 9.550 and fourth on vault with a 9.325. Good job Sheridan!

Sheridan started her 2012 season today at the Lady Luck Invitational in Las Vegas, Nevada. She finished first on floor exercise with a 9.600 as well as third on vault, uneven bars and in the all-around scoring a 9.200, 9.350 and 36.550 respectively. Good job Sheridan!

Sheridan has verbally committed to the University of Washington during the 2012-2013 school year. She also won the 2011 Level 10 Most Outstanding for the State of Arizona and JO Gymnast of the Year (State of AZ). Congratulations Sheridan!

Sheridan is in Long Beach, California this week for the Junior Olympic Nationals. She did really well today finishing tenth in the all-around with a 37.775 out of 57 gymnasts! She placed eighth on uneven bars scoring a 9.475. She scored a 9.450 on vault, 9.300 on balance beam and 9.550 on floor exercise. Good job Sheridan! Full results have been posted from the meet.

Sheridan won all four events and the all-around title this weekend at the Arizona State Championships! She scored a 9.5 on vault, 9.7 on bars, 9.525 on beam and 9.7 on floor to total a 38.425. Sheridan will next compete at Regionals, which will be held on April 15-17 in Anaheim, CA. Four new videos are now up from the meet.

A local NBC affiliate has a program on high school football on Friday nights. It is sponsored by Phoenix Children's Hospital and they have a weekly segment called "Comeback Student Athlete of the Week." Sheridan was nominated and she was the athlete of the week yesterday. Welcome to the Official Website of Sheridan Metcalf. Sheridan is a 16-year-old level 10 gymnast training at Desert Devils Gymnastics in Mesa, AZ under the coaches of Kristin Fanning and Wes Jones. After a knee injury, Sheridan is recovering nicely and looking forward to the 2011 level 10 season. Sheridan is a Junior at Mountain View High School in Mesa, AZ and will graduate in 2012.

Sheridan Sandra Metcalf was born on October 29, 1993 in Denver, Colorado to Laurie and Mern Metcalf. She has a younger sister, Melissa, who is a level 10 gymnast. Currently, Sheridan is in 12th grade at Mt. View High School where she earned several presidential honors awards.
Sheridan began her first year as a level 10 gymnast in 2007. She won the vault and uneven bars titles at the Crystal Cup. Sheridan finished third in the all-around at the Fiesta Bowl Invitational. She then traveled to Colorado and competed at the Pikes Peak Cup, where she won a gold medal on floor exercise and placed third in the all-around. At the Level 10 State Championships, Sheridan placed second in the all-around and won the vault title. Her next meet was the Level 10 Regionals, where she finished fourth in the all-around as well as second on floor exercise and third on vault. There, she qualified to the Junior Olympic Nationals, where she finished third on vault and 14th in the all-around.
Sheridan started her 2011 season at the Arizona Grand Invitational and finished third in the all-around and second on balance beam. She traveled to Florida for the Sand Dollar Invitational where she won a bronze medal on uneven bars. Sheridan placed sixtn in the all-around at the Fiesta Bowl Invitational and Classic ROck Invitational. At the Winter Classic and Malibu Coast Challenge, she won the all-around title as well as first on floor exercise and second on uneven bars. At the Level 10 State Championships, she swept gold medals! Sheridan placed sixth in the all-around and third on uneven bars at the Level 10 Regionals. There, she qualified to the JO Nationals and placed tenth in the all-around and eighth on uneven bars. Sheridan won the 2011 Level 10 Most Outstanding for the State of Arizona and JO Gymnast of the Year (State of AZ).
