Sierra flipped around the house on the furniture all the time, so her parents decided to enroll her into gymnastics at age three. She started her competitive gymnastics career at Gwinnett Gymnastics Center in Lilburn, GA where she trained under coaches Josh Overton, Katie Dodson and Sarah Smith.
Sierra earned a bronze medal on vault with a 9.275 at the 2011 Level 8 State Championships. In 2012, she finished sixth on uneven bars at the Level 9 State Championships and qualified to the Region 8 Championships.
As a first-year level 10 gymnast in 2013, Sierra finished fifth in the all-around and fourth on vault and floor exercise at the State Championships, qualifying to Regionals. In 2014, she qualified to the State Championships. In the summer of 2014, Sierra began training at Georgia Gymnastics Academy in Lawrenceville, GA.
In 2015, Sierra finished fifth in the all-around, fourth on uneven bars and floor exercise and fifth on vault at the State Championships and qualified to the Region 8 Championships. Sierra's 2015 season high scores were 9.425 on vault, 9.275 on uneven bars, 9.800 on balance beam and 9.575 on floor exercise. In 2016, Sierra qualified to Region 8 Championships.
Currently, Sierra is preparing for the 2017 season as a level 10 gymnast. She trains 20 hours per week at Georgia Gymnastics Academy in Lawrenceville, GA training under coaches Judy Prestigiacomo, Amanda Cain and Annette Kaiser. Sierra would like to compete for a college gymnastics team.
