Simone Naomi Freidman was born in Fairfax, Virginia She began gymnastics as a toddler. Simone continued her recreational gymnastics classes until she moved to Capital Gymnastics National Training Center in Burke, Virginia. There, she started competing on their Junior Olympic Team as a level 5 in 2002. Simone attended Montessori School through 5th grade. She then began her studies through "Laurel Springs" a home base distance learning school for her middle school years. Simone started public High School as a junior and attends W.T. Woodson.

Public school has been a great experience for Simone. Simone enjoys her academics, friends as well as the ability to participate in high school athletics. Simone is in the American Sign Language program at WT Woodson.

As a freshman Simone lettered for Gymnastics as well as Dive. Both teams won the Patriot District Championships. Simone was awarded the Cavalier award by her school. She presently holds the school's record in gymnastics for highest All-Around score and event score. Simone won the Patriot District Championship as an individual competitor. Placed 3rd all around at the Regional Championships and at the Va State Championships.

Simone has been selected as a member of the All Metropolitan "First Team" in Gymnastics for Fairfax County A top honor awarded by the Washington Post. This is a 70 year tradition that honors the best high school athletes. Being named an All Met First Team member by the Washington Post is the most prestigious award a high school athlete in the Washington area can receive.

The summer of 2009 Simone competed as a member of the USA gymnastics team for the 18th Maccabiah Games. A great experience to compete Internationally and a great honor to be a part of the historical games and represent the United States of America. The Games are held in Israel every four years following the World Olympic Games. Simone helped the USA team to win a silver medal. On that same day, Simone qualified to uneven bars and floor exercise event finals. She won silver medals on both events on the next day. Simone kept a blog of her experiences in Israel. In 2010, Simone placed fourth in the all-around and first on floor exercise At the Virginia USAG State Championships. In 2011, Simone placed sixth in the all-around and first on floor exercise at the Level 10 State Championships. At the Level 10 Regionals, she placed tenth in the all-around and fourth on floor exercise. She was invited to compete at the Junior Olympic National Invitational Tournament in Long Beach, California where she placed fifth on floor exercise.

Simone Naomi Freidman began gymnastics as a toddler. At present she is level 10 JO Gymnast and trains at Ca[ital Gymnastics National Training Center. Attends High school at WT Woodson in Fairfax Va. She will graduate in 2013.
