Sophia did really well today at the VISA Championships in St. Paul, MN where she improved her all-around score from 54.450 to 54.750. She finished ninth in the all-around, eighth on uneven bars and ninth on balance beam. Good job Sophia! Full results have been posted from the meet.

Sophia just finished competing the first day of the VISA Championships tonight. She started the meet with a nice uneven bars routine scoring a 14.200. She scored a 13.500 on balance beam and 12.650 on floor exercise. She finished the first day of the meet on vault with a nice Yurchenko full with a 14.100. Currently, Sophia is in tenth in the all-around and ninth on uneven bars. Good job Sophia. Today we added many new pictures from the 2011 WOGA Classic, 2011 US Covergirl Classic and 2011 US National Podium Training.

Sophia's fourth VISA Championships is starting this week in St. Paul, Minnesota! Sophia will be competing on the first day of competition on Thursday, August 18 at 6:30 PM CST. She will be last person to go on uneven bars during the first rotation. The second day will be on Saturday, August 20. Last night at the US Covergirl Classic, Sophia did well where she placed fifth in the all-around with a 54.950. She placed seventh on vault with a clean Yurchenko full scoring a 14.100. She scored a 13.2 on uneven bars, 14.25 on balance beam and 13.4 on floor exercise. Sophia qualified for the VISA Championships with four events. Good job Sophia!

Sophia will be traveling to Chicago, Illinois for the US Covergirl Classic next weekend on July 23rd which will be held at the UIC Pavilion. The senior elite division will start at 7:00 p.m and she will start the meet on vault. Sophia already qualified for the VISA Championships on vault, uneven bars and balance beam, however, she will need a 54 at this meet to do all-around at the VISA's. Sophia competed yesterday at the American Classic in Huntsville, Texas. She placed second on vault with a 14.500, fifth on uneven bars scoring a 13.950 and sixth on balance beam with a 13.600. She qualified to the VISA Championships on three events. Good job Sophia! She will travel to Chicago in a few weeks for the US Covergirl Classic.

Sophia traveled to Houston National Invitational this past weekend. On the first day of the competition, Sophia helped the WOGA team to win the Team Cup, where they won $5,000 for the gym. On the next day, Sophia finished fourth in the all-around, second on balance beam with a 14.200 and third on vault scoring a 14.150 in the international session. Well done Sophia!

Sophia competed first day of the VISA Championships today. She started the meet on uneven bars scoring a 14.200 and is currently sixth place on that event. She then scored a 13.3 on balance beam and 12.35 on floor exercise. Sophia finished the meet on vault with a clean Yurchenko full scoring a 14.050. After the first day, Sophia is tenth overall. Sophia will compete on day two of the VISA Championships on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. EST. Full results have been posted from the meet.

Sophia will be competing at the US Covergirl Classic this weekend on July 24 in Chicago, Illinois. She will be in the senior session at 7:00 p.m. at the UIC Pavilion. Sophia had a great meet last night at the Texas National Elite Qualifier in Huntsville, Texas. She won the all-around title with a 55.500 in the senior division. She won the uneven bars title with a 14.100 and second on vault, balance beam and floor exercise scoring a 14.100, 13.850 and 13.450 respectively. Good job Sophia!

Sophia had a great meet this weekend at the Houston National Invitational. She helped the WOGA team to win the team competition last Friday. On Saturday, she finished second in the all-around with a 55.4 in the elite session. she placed second on vault and floor exercise scoring a 14.15 and 13.95 respectively. She also placed third on uneven bars with a 14.3. Good job Sophia!

Sophia competed this past weekend at the WOGA Classic. She did an outstanding job, where she won the all-around title with a 55.000 ahead of Canada's Dominique Pegg and USA's Kayla Williams in the senior elite division. Sophia won the uneven bars title scoring a 14.35 and finished third on balance beam with a 14.200. Good job Sophia! Full results have been posted from the meet. Sophia's second VISA Championships concluded today in Dallas, Texas. She did really well, where she finished 16th in the all-around and ninth on vault. Good job Sophia! Full results from today have been posted. Many new pictures and videos will be coming soon.

Sophia just finished competing the first day of the Junior VISA Championships in Dallas, Texas. Right now, she is 9th in the all-around out of 31 gymnasts. After starting with a rough uneven bars routine, she improved each event to score a 54.650. She did clean routines on balance beam and floor exercise scoring a 13.7 and 13.55 respectively. She concluded the competition wth a huge Yurchenko full. She scored a 14.400 with an execution of 9.5! Congratulations on a great preliminary round! Sophia will continue her competition during the finals on Saturday at 1:00 PM CST. Full results have been posted.

Sophia's second VISA Championships will begin this week! The first day of competition will be on Thursday, August 13 at 1:00 PM CST. She will be fifth person to go on uneven bars during the first rotation. The second day will be on Saturday, August 15 at 1:00 PM CST. On that day, she will be fourth person to go on balance beam during the first rotation. Sophia will need to place in the top ten to make the Junior US National Team. Good luck Sophia!
USA Gymnastics, International Gymnast, and Inside Gymnastics will provide live scoring, news, pictures, etc during the VISA Championships. We will do our best to keep Sophia's website updated as soon as we get news and results.

Sophia competed this afternoon at the US Classic. She finished seventh all-around with a 55.250. Sophia won uneven bars with a 14.900! Yesterday at the 2009 American Classic in San Diego, California, Sophia finished 12th in the all-around with a 52.483. She finished fifth on vault with a 14.15 as well as 14th on floor exercise scoring 13.2. Sophia qualified to the 2009 VISA Championships in Dallas, Texas. Congratulations Sophia! Sophia and her WOGA teammates traveled to Houston National Invitational this weekend. On Friday night, Sophia helped the WOGA team to win the Team Cup ahead of Texas 6 Pak and Cypress. Sophia scored 9.6 on vault, 8.875 on uneven bars (video) and 9.325 on balance beam (video). On Saturday, Sophia finished second in the all-around with a 54.7 in the elite divison. She won a gold medal on vault with a 14.150 and a silver medal on balance beam scoring 14.100. Good job Sophia! Full results have been posted from the meet.

This past weekend at the Great West Gymfest in Idaho, Sophia finished third in the all-around with a 36.825. She placed first on vault with a 9.775 and tied for first place on balance beam with a 9.625. She qualified to two event finals on the next day, where she finished third on vault and first on balance beam scoring 9.725 and 9.700 respectively. Good job Sophia! Sophia Lee's website has been released! Sophia is a 14-year-old junior international elite gymanst who trains at the WOGA in Plano, Texas.
