Co-owners, John and Lisa Spini, founded Desert Lights Gymnastics in 1997. John has been coaching as a head women's gymnastics coach at Arizona State University for over 25 years. Lisa has been coaching since 1976 and has produced 10 USA National Team Members.

Stefani is currently training under multiple coaches; Lisa Spini, Neela Nelson, Chris George, Bruce McGehee, Bob Peterson and Janelle McDonald. Both Neela Nelson and Bruce McGehee have been an elite coach and judge for over 16 years. Both have coached 13 National Team members and coached several Level 10 State Champions. Chris George was a gymnast and he finished 3rd at the Indiana State meet in 1993. As a coach, he coached the 2002 Level 9 Western Vault Champion. Bob Person was a former USA National Team coach and has trained several State, Regional, National Champions. He was Arizona Women's Gymnastics Associate President from 1986 to 1988. Janelle McDonald was a gymnast for over 11 years and competed as a high school gymnast.
