Taylor had too much of energy, so her parents decided to enroll her into gymnastics for fun when she was five years old. She began her competitive gymnastics career at Midwest Gymnastics and Cheer in Dublin, OH where she trained under coaches Louis Robinson, Carol Robinson and Thad Beaver.
In 2010 as a level 7 gymnast, Taylor finished sixth in the all-around and third on balance beam at the State Championships. She moved up to level 8 for the 2011 season where she qualified to the Region 5 Championships. As a first-year level 9 gymnast in 2012, Taylor finished in the top ten in the all-around at the State Championships and Region 5 Championships. In the summer of 2012, Taylor moved to Universal Gymnasts, Inc. in Hilliard, OH.
Taylor continued competing level 9 in 2013. She placed in the top ten in the all-around, first on floor exercise and second on vault and uneven bars at the State Championships. At the Region 5 Championships, she finished ninth in the all-around and fifth on uneven bars. Taylor was unable to compete in the 2014 championships season as a first-year level 10 gymnast due to an injury. She came back in 2015 where she placed 12th in the all-around and sixth on floor exercise at the State Championships, qualifying to the Region 5 Championships.
In 2016, Taylor won the floor exercise title at the Universal Galaxy Invitational and Queen City Classic. She was unable to compete post-season due to an injury, however, she did qualify to State Championships. In 2017, Taylor finished seventh in the all-around with a 37.125 and fifth on balance beam at the State Championships. She qualified to the Region 5 Championships, finishing tenth in the all-around, fifth on floor exercise and sixth on uneven bars in a very tough session.
Currently, Taylor is preparing for the 2018 season as a level 10 gymnast. She trains 20 hours per week at Universal Gymnasts Inc. in Hilliard, OH under coach Dave Anthony. Taylor is working hard to qualify to the Junior Olympic Nationals and to obtain a college gymnastics scholarship.
