Taylor attended a gymnastics class with a friend in the summer of 2008 and fell in love with every aspect of gymnastics. Within two weeks, Taylor was advanced to the team. She was the 2011 Level 3 State All-Around, Vault and Balance Beam Champion, 2012 Level 4 Level 4 State All-Around, Vault and Floor Exercise Silver Medalist and 2016 Level 7 State Vault Bronze Medalist.In 2017 as a level 8 gymnast, Taylor finished second in the all-around with a 37.750, first on floor exercise and second on uneven bars at the State Championships. She qualified to the Region 8 Championships where she finished second in the all-around with a 37.000, second on uneven bars and fourth on floor exercise. Taylor was unable to compete in 2018 due to an injury. That same year, she moved to Elite Gymnastics Academy in Doral, FL. She currently trains 22 hours per week under coaches Andreina Angulo and Geobanis Santos.
