Alauna is an honor student at Boyd Buchanan School. She was a member of the National Junior Honor Society and the French Junior Honor Society. Alauna will graduate from high school in 2022. Outside of gymnastics and school, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, dancing and baking.

Alauna's mother enrolled Alauna in a Mommy & Me gymnastics class at the age of three so Alauna could begin to get routine physical activity and for the two of them to have a shared activity together. Alauna joined pre-team at Gymnastics Center of Chattanooga in Ooltewah, TN and has been there for her entire gymnastics career. In 2014 as a level 7 gymnast, Alauna placed fourth in the all-around with a 37.300 and second on uneven bars at the State Championships. She moved up to level 8 for the 2015 season, finishing third on uneven bars with a 9.550 and sixth in the all-around at the State Championships. She earned a silver medal on vault with a 9.450 at the Region 8 Championships.

In 2016 as a first-year level 9 gymnast, Alauna placed fourth in the all-around and third on uneven bars with a 9.425 at the State Championships. She qualified to the Region 8 Championships. She was unable to compete in 2017 and most of the 2018 seasons due to an injury. She came back strong for the 2019 season where she placed fourth in the all-around, first on vault with a 9.650 and second on floor exercise at the State Championships. Alauna also qualified to the 2019 Region 8 Championships. In 2020, Alauna qualified to the Level 10 State Championships but was unable to compete due to COVID-19 pandemic. Alauna placed fifth on vault and uneven bars at the 2021 Level 10 State Championships, qualifying to Region 8 Championships.

Alauna trains 25 hours per week at Gymnastics Center of Chattanooga in Ooltewah, TN under coaches Emily & Adam Byrd and Spencer Hayes. She is working hard to qualify for Nationals and to obtain a college gymnastics scholarship.
