Alyssa started gymnastics when she was two years old in a Mommy & Me class. The coaches moved her up to team when she was four years old. At the beginning of her competitive gymnastics career, she trained at US Gold Gymnastics in Texas. She was the 2017 Level 7 Texas State All-Around Silver Medalist (38.725). She qualified to the Level 7 Regionals, finishing sixth on uneven bars and eighth on floor exercise. Following her level 7 season, she moved to Pearland Elite Training Center in Pearland, TX.

Alyssa qualified to the 2018 Level 8 State Championships but was unable to compete due to an injury. She moved up to level 9 for the 2019 season. She placed fourth on uneven bars at the State Championships and ninth on uneven bars at the Region 3 Championships. Alyssa qualified to the 2020 Level 9 State Championships but was unable to compete due to COVID-19 pandemic. Alyssa moved up to level 10 for the 2021 season where she placed eighth on uneven bars at the State Championships and ninth on uneven bars at the Region 3 Championships. In 2022, Alyssa placed fourth on uneven bars and sixth on balance beam at the Region 3 Championships. She qualified to the Level 10 National Championships as an uneven bars specialist.

In 2023, Alyssa placed sixth on uneven bars at the Level 10 State Championships (9.400) and Region 3 Championships (9.725). She competed at the Level 10 Nationals All-Star as an uneven bars specialist.

When Alyssa isn't busy training over 30 hours each week in the gym, she enjoys cooking, baking and crafts. She is the daughter to Scott and Nicole Langston and she has a brother, Tyler, a sister, Ashlyn and a dog named Lacy. Currently, Alyssa is an honor student at iUniversity Prep and she will graduate in 2024. She volunteers through her church visiting homebound members.
