Ashley was very energetic where she loved to flip around and she had a good balance for a four-year-old. So, her mom decided to enroll her into gymnastics so she could have a safe place to flip. Ashley fell in love with the sport and joined pre-team at Patti's Dunne's Gymnastics in Hebron, CT and has been there ever since. As a level 7 gymnast in 2014, Ashley placed seventh in the all-around, first on vault and fourth on uneven bars at the State Championships. She moved up to level 8 for the 2015 season, finishing second in the all-around, first on uneven bars and second on vault at the State Championships. She qualified to the Region 6 Championships.

In 2016, Ashley continued competing level 8. At the State Championships, she placed second in the all-around and first on floor exercise. She did well at the Region 6 Championships, finishing first in the all-around and first on vault and floor exercise. As a first year level 9 gymnast in 2017, she placed second in the all-around and second on floor exercise at the State Championships. At the Region 6 Championships, Ashley finished second in the all-around and third on uneven bars and balance beam. She qualified to the Level 9 Eastern Nationals in Michigan where she placed sixth on floor exercise.

Ashley had another great season in 2018 where she placed second in the all-around with a 37.325 and first on vault at the State Championships. At the Region 6 Championships, she placed fourth in the all-around and first on vault. She qualified to the Level 9 Eastern Nationals in Rochester, NY, finishing 14th overall, first on vault and eighth on floor exercise. In 2019, Ashley placed second on vault at the State Championships and third in the all-around and second on balance beam and floor exercise at the Region 6 Championships. She qualified to the Level 9 Eastern Nationals for the third time where she placed third on balance beam and fifth on vault.

Ashley trains 20 hours per week at Patti Dunne’s Gymnastics in Hebron, CT under coach Matt Dunne. She is working hard to qualify to the Junior Olympic Nationals. Her long-term goal is to compete for a college gymnastics team.
