Ashley took her first recreational class when she was three years old. At this time she was too young to participate in formal dance classes and her energy level was through the roof, climbing and jumping all over the place. Ashley quickly became noticed by the team coaches and was invited to join team. She has been training at Lake Murray Gymnastics in Irmo, SC her whole gymnastics career.

Ashley was the 2013 Level 4 SC State Balance Beam Champion, 2014 Level 4 SC State All-Around & Uneven Bars Champion and three-time TOPS National Qualifier. She skipped level 5 and tested out of level 6 before quickly moving up to level 7 for the 2016 season. She qualified to the State Championships but was unable to compete due to an injury. As a level 8 gymnast, Ashley placed in the top ten in the all-around at the 2017 State Championships, sixth in the all-around at the 2018 State Championships and fourth on balance beam at the Region 8 Championships. Ashley moved up to level 9 for the 2019 season. She finished third in the all-around and third on floor exercise at the State Championships. She qualified to the Region 8 Championships, finishing eighth on uneven bars and floor exercise.

As a first-year level 10 gymnast in 2020, Ashley qualified to the State Championships but was unable to compete due to COVID-19 pandemic. In 2021, Ashley placed third in the all-around and fourth on uneven bars and floor exercise at the State Championships. She qualified to the Region 8 Championships.

When Ashley isn't busy training 26 hours each week in the gym, she enjoys swimming. Ashley is the daughter to Susan and Chris Locker and she has a brother, Jay. Currently, she is an honor student at Gray Collegiate Academy and she will graduate from high school in 2024. Ashley is very active in her church and participates in community activities volunteering working on homes in and around the area.
