Callie Leavell was born on June 8, 2004 in China. She currently lives in Denver, CO with her parents, Alan and Lenore, a sister, Brianna, a brother, Keegan and two dogs. Callie is an honor student at Chaparral High School and she will graduate from high school in 2022.

Callie started taking gymnastics classes for fun at the age of five at a local gym in Texas. She trained at Zenith Elite Gymnastics Academy in McKinney, TX for four seasons, between 2013-2016. As a level 7 gymnast in 2014, Callie placed fourth in the all-around with a 38.075 and fifth on vault at the State Championships. She qualified to the Region 3 Championships, finishing second in the all-around with a 38.200, first on floor exercise and fourth on vault. Callie was named to America's Top 100 on balance beam in level 7. In November of 2014, Callie and her club teammates traveled to Marseille, France where she placed second in the all-around in her age group.

In 2015, Callie moved up to level 8 where she qualified to the State Championships and Region 3 Championships. As a level 9 gymnast in 2016, Callie qualified to the Region 3 Championships. In 2016, Callie and her family relocated to Colorado, so Callie started training at Colorado Gymnastics Institute (CGI) in Aurora, CO. She was unable to compete in 2017 due to an elbow injury. In 2018, Callie placed fourth in the all-around and second on vault at the State Championships. She did well at the Region 3 Championships, finishing sixth in the all-around with a 37.100 and sixth on balance beam. Callie qualified to the Level 9 Western Nationals in Salt City Lake, UT where she finished 14th overall and seventh on vault with a 9.550.

As a first-year level 10 gymnast in 2019, Callie earned a bronze medal on vault at the State Championships. In 2020, Callie qualified to the Level 10 State Championships but was unable to compete due to COVID-19 pandemic. In 2021, Callie qualified to the Region 3 Championships.

Callie trains 23 hours per week at Colorado Gymnastics Institute (CGI) in Aurora, CO under coaches Vin Leira, Sonia Leira and Lindy Franzini. She is working hard to qualify to the Junior Olympic Nationals. Her long-term goal is to obtain a college gymnastics scholarship.
