Cameron's mom enrolled her into recreational classes because she would not stop tumbling in the house! She began her gymnastics career at at Top Flight Gymnastics in Columbia, MD. Cameron was the 2016 Level 4 MD State All-Around (38.550), Vault, Uneven Bars, Balance beam and Floor Exercise Champion. Following her level 4 season, she moved to Hill's Gymnastics.
She worked hard to jump from level 4 to level 7 by 2017 season. Cameron earned gold medals on vault, uneven bars, floor exercise and in the all-around with a 38.175 at the State Championships. She was named to America's Top 100 on floor exercise with a 9.925. Cameron moved up to level 8 for the 2018 season. She placed fifth in the all-around and first on uneven bars at the State Championships, qualifying to Region 7 Championships.
In 2019, Cameron competed as a level 9 gymnast where she placed fourth on floor exercise at the Region 7 Championships as a specialist. She moved up to level 10 for the 2020 season. She placed third in the all-around with a 37.150 and first on floor exercise at the California Grand Invitational and second in the all-around with a 38.000 and first on vault with a 9.900 on vault at the Magical Classic. Cameron's 9.900 vault score landed her in America's Top 100. Unfortunately, Cameron's season got cut short due to COVID-19 pandemic.
In 2021, Cameron finished second in the all-around and first on vault and floor exercise at the Level 10 State Championships. At the Region 7 Championships, she placed ninth in the all-around and first on vault. She qualified to the Junior Olympic Nationals in Daytona Beach, FL as a vault specialist and all-around alternate. At the Nationals, she won the vault title with a 9.875! Cameron had a great 2022 season where she grabbed gold medals on vault, balance beam, floor exercise and in the all-around with a 37.700 at the State Championships. At the Region 7 Championships, she finished fourth in the all-around and first on vault. Cameron qualified to the Level 10 National Championships where she placed 18th overall with a 37.825, fourth on vault and sixth on floor exercise out of 57 gymnasts.
When Cameron isn't busy training 22 hours each week in the gym, she enjoys spending time with her friends, shopping, roller skating and bowling. She is the daughter to James and Candace and she has two sisters, Kendyl and Kennedy. Currently, Cameron is an honor student at ???? and she will graduate in 2024. She has earned academic awards in Math and English for five years in row.
