Camila's mom put Camila into gymnastics because she was so flexible at age two. She started with one hour per week and around three months later her hours and love of the sport increased. Camila started her competitive gymnastics career at Basel’s All Star Gymnastics & Cheer in Spring, TX. She competed level 3 in 2010 at the age of six.

Camila was the 2017 Level 7 Texas Balance Beam Silver Medalist, 2017 Level 7 Regional Balance Beam Bronze Medalist and 2018 Level 8 Texas State Qualifier (Injured). In 2019 as a level 8 gymnast, Camila placed first on uneven bars and fifth in the all-around at the State Championships. She qualified to the Region 3 Championships, finishing fifth on uneven bars. Following her 2019 season, she moved to World Champion Centre in Spring, TX. She moved up to level 9 for the 2020 season but it was cut short due to COVID-19 pandemic. Her 2020 season was highlighted with an all-around win at the Alamo Classic.

When Camila isn't busy training 24 hours each week in the gym, she enjoys drawing. She is the only child to Eliana Thoma and Jose Martinez. Currently, Camila is an honor student at Grand Oaks High School and she will graduate in 2022.
