Cayden's aunt was a gymnast and she convinced Cayden's mom to let her try a class. Cayden was five years old when she stepped foot into a gym for a beginners class and she never looked back. She has been training at Gymnastics and More (Ocean Flippers) in Little River, SC since she started competing level 6 in 2016. She placed third on uneven bars at the 2017 State Championships.
As a level 7 gymnast in 2018, Cayden placed sixth in the all-around and second on floor exercise at the State Championships. She moved up to level 8 for the 2019 season where she finished first on balance beam and first in the all-around at the State Championships. She qualified to the Region 8 Championships. Cayden qualified to the 2020 Level 9 State Championships but was unable to compete due to COVID-19 pandemic. Cayden placed third in the all-around and second on balance beam at the 2021 Level 9 State Championships. In 2022, she finished third in the all-around and third on all events at the Level 9 State Championships. She qualified to the Region 8 Championships, finishing third on uneven bars.
When Cayden isn't busy training over 18 hours each week in the gym, she enjoys working out, surfing, going to the beach and hanging out with her friends. She is currently taking honors classes at North Myrtle Beach High School and she will graduate in 2023. She is involved in a program called Students in Action, the program is for student leaders to engage in community organizing, networking, leadership and charity work to better the community and school.
