Charlotte was born on March 31, 2005, to Mark and Susan Byrne. She has an older sister, Katherine who was a competitive gymnast at one time, and two younger twin brothers, John and Jack. Currently, Charlotte is an honor student at Clearview Regional High School in Mullica Hill, NJ. She will graduate from high school in 2023. She competed as an individual gymnast for her high school and took home a bronze medal in the all-around in the 2019 NJSIAA South Jersey Sectional Gymnastics Championships. The 2020 NJSIAA Gymnastics Season did not have any Championship meets.

Charlotte began her gymnastics career at the age of two at Auburn Gymnastics Academy in Auburn, AL. With great balance and mind-body awareness, she began training competitively at age five. Charlotte was the 2012 Level 4 AL State All-Around Bronze Medalist and the 2013 Level 3 AL State Silver All-Around Medalist and Floor Exercise Champion.

In 2014, Charlotte and her family moved to New Jersey, where she had to find a new gymnastics home. After a transition period, Charlotte began more rigorous training at Atlantic Coast Gymnastics in Williamstown, NJ. She was the 2016 Level 5 NJ State Bronze Medalist on Floor Exercise, the 2017 Level 7 NJ State All-Around Bronze Medalist and Balance Beam Champion, and the 2018 Level 8 Regional All-Around and Balance Beam Champion! She was the first Beam Gymnast of her session and her 1st place score held throughout the entire meet!

In February 2019, Charlotte sustained a back injury towards the end of the Level 9 Season which forced her to petition to the 2019 Level 9 Region 7 Championships. Charlotte took home 2nd on Floor Exercise and 4th on Balance Beam, and she was also named a 2019 Level 9 Eastern National Championships Alternate. Charlotte qualified to the 2020 Level 9 NJ State Championships but was unable to compete due to COVID-19 pandemic.

In November 2020, Charlotte moved to Star Bound Gymnastics Academy in Bridgeton, NJ, where she could adequately work higher level 10 skills. Despite an ankle injury and illness, Charlotte qualified to the 2021 Level 10 Region 7 Championships. In 2022, Charlotte scored a 9.375 on balance beam at the Level 10 Regionals.
