Claire Elizabeth Pease, more affectionately known as the “Bear,” was born to a proud military family on January 5, 2009 in Honolulu, HI where her family was stationed. Claire’s personality became evident shortly after birth and can be summarized in one simple word, determination. Most interestingly, this trait still holds true today. After she and her family relocated to the Dallas area, Claire became involved in recreational gymnastics at a local, family-owned gym. At this gym, she was provided a sound foundation of gymnastics and developed a true love for the sport. After much hard work and dedication to practice, Claire earned a spot on a competitive team at World Olympic Gymnastics Academy (WOGA) in Plano, TX.

After joining, WOGA, Claire excelled and became even stronger and more determined to further her gymnastic skills.

At each of these camps, she was blessed with the opportunity to train alongside other talented athletes and many of the United States National Team Coaching Staff. In January and February of 2020, she competed in the Metroplex Challenge National Qualifier and the Everest National Qualifier where she obtained the HOPES Classic qualifying score for compulsory and optional (10/11 Division) at both events.

When not in the gym, Claire enjoys traveling and spending time with her family, swimming, baking and doing crafts. Claire’s gymnastic goals include becoming an elite gymnast, a United States National Team Member and earning a Division I college scholarship.
