While living in Wisconsin, Clara began taking gymnastics classes for fun at the age of three at Salto Gymnastics in Waukesha. She was the 2015 Level 3 WI State Vault Champion and 2016 Level 4 WI State All-Around, Vault and Floor Exercise Champion. Following her level 4 season, Clara and her family relocated to Minnesota, so she began training at Legacy Gymnastics in Eden Prairie, MN.

As a level 6 gymnast in 2018, Clara placed second on vault and fourth on balance beam at the State Championships. She qualified to the 2019 Level 7 State Championships and 2020 Level 8 State Championships (COVID-19). Clara moved up to level 9 for the next two seasons. In 2021, she placed fifth in the all-around and third on floor exercise at the Region 4 Championships and qualified to the Level 9 Western Championships. In 2022, Clara finished first in the all-around and first on vault at the State Championships and Region 4 Championships. At the Level 9 Western Championships, Clara took home a gold medal on vault and placed seventh in the all-around.

As a first-year level 10 gymnast in 2023, Clara placed second on vault and seventh on floor exercise at the Region 4 Championships. She qualified to the Level 10 Nationals All-Star as a vault specialist where she scored a 9.525.

When Clara isn't busy training 20 hours each week in the gym, she enjoys reading, listening to music and hiking. She is the daughter to Scott and Cresta Jones and she has two sisters, Margaret and Harriet and a dog named Lola. Currently, Clara is an honor student at Eden Prairie High School and she will graduate in 2025. Clara is a member of KeyClub, Interact Club and Letters of Love Club.
