Ella started the parent and tot gymnastics program when she was just 18 months old. She then moved on to dance, but after having too much energy to stand still during ballet class, it was time to commit to gymnastics. Ella was invited to be a part of the competitive program and has been a competitive gymnast since she was five years old.

As a level 7 gymnast in 2016, Ella won the all-around title at the Gymnix International. She qualified to the Ontario Championships where she placed seventh in the all-around and sixth on vault and floor exercise. Ella moved up to level 8 for the 2018 season where she placed third in the all-around and second on vault and uneven bars at the Ontario Championships. Ella had a great level 9 season in 2019 where she placed first in the all-around and first on uneven bars at the Gymnix International. She placed fourth in the all-around and second on vault at the Ontario Championships. Ella represented Team Ontario at the Level 9 Eastern Canadian Championships where she finished third in the all-around and first on vault.

Ella's 2019-2020 level 10 season was cut short due to COVID-19 pandemic. Her 2020 season was highlighted with first in the all-around with a 36.575 at the Atlantis Crown Invitational in the Bahamas and fourth in the all-around at the Gymnix International.

When Ella isn't busy training over 20 hours each week, she enjoys baking, cooking and reading. She is the daughter to Lisa Christjanson and Shaun Power and she has a brother, Max and a dog. Currently, Ella is an honor student at Assumption Catholic Secondary School and she will graduate in 2023.
