Elodie Walton was born on September 24, 2003 in Virginia to Bobby and Carrie Walton. Elodie is an honor student at Franklin County High School and she will graduate from high school in 2021. She has maintained a 4.0 GPA since sixth grade and she is a member of National Honor Society. Elodie volunteers and participates in events for the Crooked Road Running Club. She also is the first to volunteer and the last to leave meets and other events hosted by Roanoke Academy. She is a mentor to the younger gymnasts and they really look up to her.
Elodie started gymnastics because she was too energetic for ballet. She was incredibly strong and had a love of climbing. She started taking gymnastics classes when she was five years old at Roanoke Academy of Gymnastics in Roanoke, VA and has been there ever since. Elodie was named to America's Top 100 on vault in level 4 with a 9.800. As a level 6 gymnast in 2016, Elodie earned a silver medal on vault with a 9.775 at the State Championships. Elodie was named to America's Top 100 again on vault.
In 2017, Elodie moved up to level 7 where she finished ninth on floor exercise with a 9.525 at the State Championships. Elodie was named to America's Level 7 Top 100 on vault for the third time with a 9.850. Elodie qualified to the Level 8 State Championships in 2018 and 2019.
Elodie trains 20 hours per week at Roanoke Academy of Gymnastics in Roanoke, VA under coaches Eric Wagner and Dayna Wells. Elodie is working hard to obtain her level 9 skills for the 2019 season. Her long-term goal is to compete for a college gymnastics team.
