Isa began taking recreational classes when she was three years old at Bartlesville Gymnastics Club in Bartlesville, OK and has been ever since! She was the 2015 Level 3 OK State Uneven Bars Silver Medalist, 2016 Level 4 OK State All-Around and Balance Beam Silver Medalist & Floor Exercise Champion and 2017 Level 5 OK State All-Around, Balance Beam and Floor Exercise Silver Medalist and Vault Champion. Isa skipped level 6 and quickly moved up to level 7 for the 2018 season. She placed fourth in the all-around with a 37.700 and third on floor exercise at the State Championships. She qualified to the Region 3 Championships, finishing in the top 15 in the all-around with a 37.200 and fifth on balance beam.
As a level 8 gymnast in 2019, Isa finished second in the all-around with a 37.000 and first on balance beam at the State Championships. At the Region 3 Championships, she finished fourth in the all-around and fifth on balance beam. She moved up to level 9 for the 2020 season. She qualified to the State Championships but her season was cut short due to COVID-19 pandemic. In 2021, Isa finished fourth in the all-around and first on uneven bars at the Level 9 State Championships. At the Region 3 Championships, Isa placed fourth in the all-around with a 37.300 and first on balance beam. She qualified to the Level 9 Western Nationals in Iowa where she took home a bronze medal on uneven bars.
In 2022 as a first-year level 10 gymnast, Isa placed third in the all-around and third on vault and uneven bars at the State Championships. She qualified to the Region 3 Championships. In 2023, Isa placed second in the all-around and first on balance beam and floor exercise at the Level 10 State Championships. She qualified to the Region 3 Championships, finishing fifth on balance beam with a 9.550. Isa competed at the Level 10 Nationals in the All-Star session as a balance beam specialist.
Isabella Highfield is the daughter to Angie and Derrick Highfield and she has a sister, Sofia and two dogs named Max and Ruby. Currently, Isa is an honor student at Wesleyan Christian School and she will graduate in 2024. She is a member of National Honor Society. She has received Christian Character award and award for highest grade in math class in 6th-9th grade
