Jayda began taking recreational classes at the age of 2.5 at Aerial's East Gymnastics in Colorado Springs, CO. Her family relocated to Wisconsin prior to 2014 season. She competed for LaFleur's Gymnastics in Germantown, WI where was the 2014 Level 3 WI State Vault & Floor Exercise Bronze Medalist, 2016 Level 4 WI State All-Around Fifth Place Finish and 2018 Level 7 WI State Floor Exercise Fourth Place Finish. Following her level 7 season, Jayda and her family moved to Minnesota, so Jayda began training at Legacy Gymnastics and has been there ever since.

As a level 8 gymnast in 2019, Jayda placed first in the all-around with a 37.225 and second on vault and floor exercise at the State Championships. She qualified to the Region 4 Championships, finishing third in the all-around and second on vault. Jayda qualified to the 2020 Level 9 State Championships but was unable to compete due to COVID-19 pandemic. Jayda had a great level 9 season in 2021! She grabbed gold medals on vault, balance beam and in the all-around with a 37.125 at the State Championships. At the Region 4 Championships, she finished third in the all-around, first on floor exercise and second on balance beam. She qualified to the Level 9 Western Nationals in Iowa where she finished impressive second in the all-around with a 37.825, second on vault, third on uneven bars and fourth on floor exercise.

Jayda moved up to level 10 for the 2022 season. She placed fifth on floor exercise and seventh overall at the State Championships. At the Region 4 Championships, Jayda finished ninth in the all-around and sixth on balance beam. She was an alternate for the Level 10 Nationals and qualified as a vault specialist. At the Nationals in Mesa, AZ, Jayda scored a 9.450 on vault in the IES session. In 2023, Jayda placed ninth in the all-around and seventh on vault at the Region 4 Championships. She was an alternate and competed as a vault specialist in the All-Star session at the Level 10 Nationals.

When Jayda isn't busy training over 20 hours each week in the gym, she enjoys baking, shopping and listening to music. She is the daughter to Jill and Kenny Lewter and she has two brothers, Kenny and Kamden. Jayda is a student at Prior Lake High School and she will graduate in 2024. She is a member of National Honor Society. When she has time, she volunteers at Underdog Rescue.
