Jenelle started taking recreational classes for fun at a local gym in New Jersey. She began to really like it and the coach recommended she be put on team by the age of six. She has been training at Action Gymnastics in New Jersey since level 5. She currently trains 25 hours per week under coaches Magda During and Tatiana Tcheremnykh.

In 2018 as a level 9 gymnast, Jenelle finished seventh on the vault with a 9.450 at the Region 7 Championships. In 2019, she finished sixth on the floor with a 9.350 at the Level 10 State Championships and qualified for the Region 7 Championships. Jenelle qualified to the 2020 Level 10 State Championships but was unable to compete due to COVID-19 pandemic. In 2021, Janelle placed third in the all-round and third on floor exercise at the State Championships. At the Region 7 Championships, she finished fourth in the all-around and sixth on uneven bars. This qualified Janelle to the Junior Olympic Nationals in Daytona Beach, FL.

Jenelle is working hard to qualify to the Junior Olympic Nationals the next few years. While she trains hard in the gym, she is also an honor student at Freehold Township High School. When Jenelle has time outside of gymnastics and school, she enjoys playing volleyball and bowling. She aspires to become a member of a college gymnastics team.
