Katie started taking recreational gymnastics classes when she was two years old at Universal Gymnasts, Inc. in Hilliard, OH and has been there ever since. She started competing as a level 4 gymnast in 2011 at six years old. At the State Championships, she finished fourth in the all-around and first on uneven bars. Katie placed in the top ten in the all-around and fifth on vault and floor exercise at the 2012 Level 5 State Championships.

In 2013 as a level 6 gymnast, Katie placed eighth overall and fourth on uneven bars at the State Championships. She skipped level 7 and quickly moved up to level 8 in 2014 at nine year sold. At the 2014 State Championships, she finished fifth in the all-around and fourth on uneven bars, qualifying to the Region 5 Championships.

Katie moved up to level 9 for the 2015 season. She finished eighth in the all-around and fifth on uneven bars at the State Championships. At the Region 5 Championships, she placed sixth in the all-around with a 37.525 and fifth on uneven bars. She qualified to the Level 9 Eastern Nationals in Kissimmee, FL. Katie continued competing level 9 in 2016 where she placed third in the all-around with a 37.075, third on uneven bars and fourth on floor exercise at the State Championships. At the Level 5 Championships, she finished eighth in the all-around with a 37.500 and second on uneven bars. She was the first alternate for the Level 9 Eastern Nationals.

As a first-year level 10 gymnast in 2017, Katie finished second on floor exercise with a 9.475 at the State Championships. At the Region 5 Championships, she placed third in the all-around, second on uneven bars and fourth on floor exercise. Katie qualified to the Junior Olympic Nationals in Indianapolis, IN where she placed 18th overall with a 37.025 out of 56 gymnasts. In 2018, Katie placed third in the all-around and first on balance beam at the State Championships. At the Region 5 Championships, she finished second in the all-around with a 37.475, first on uneven bars and second on floor exercise. She qualified to the Junior Olympic Nationals in Cincinnati, OH where she placed ninth on uneven bars wth a 9.500 out of 57 gymnasts. Katie had a great season in 2019! She placed second in the all-around with a 37.500 and first on uneven bars at the State Championships. She qualified to the Junior Olympic Nationals for the third time after finishing sixth in the all-around, first on uneven bars and second on floor exercise at the Region 5 Championships. At the Nationals in Indianapolis, IN, Katie placed 12th on uneven bars.

In 2019, Katie placed second in the all-around with a 37.500, first on uneven bars and third on balance beam at the State Championships. At the Region 5 Championships, she finished sixth in the all-around, first on uneven bars and second on floor exercise. She qualified to the Junior OlympiC Nationals in Indianapolis, IN, finishing 12th on uneven bars with a 9.500. In 2020, Katie qualified to the Level 10 State Championships but was unable to compete due to COVID-19 pandemic. In 2021, Katie placed first on vault, uneven bars and in the all-around with a 38.400 at the State Championships. At the Region 5 Championships, she finished third in the all-around and first on uneven bars. This qualified Katie to the Junior Olympic Nationals in Daytona Beach, FL where she placed 12th overall with a 37.825 and eighth on uneven bars.

Katie trains 20 hours per week at Universal Gymnasts Inc. in Hilliard, OH under coaches Dave Anthony, Natalia Laschenova and Bill Widman. Katie is working hard to qualify to the Junior Olympic Nationals and to obtain a Division I college gymnastics scholarship.
