Lainey's parents enrolled her into The Little Gym at the age three for fun and she loved it from the start! She started her competitive gymnastics career at Flipnastics in Lakeway, TX. She was the 2015 Level 4 TX State Uneven Bars Champion. She quickly moved up to level 7 for the 2017 season where she placed third on floor exercise with a 9.825 at the State Championships. Lainey was named to America's Top 100 on vault in level 3 (9.9), uneven bars in level 4 (9.9) and floor exercise in level 7 (9.825).

Following Lainey's 2018 season, she moved to Austin Elite Gymnastics in Lakeway, TX. She qualified to the Level 8 State Championships but was unable to compete at the State Championships due to an injury. Lainey moved up to level 9 for the 2020 season. She qualified to the State Championships but was unable to compete due to COVID-19 pandemic.

When Lainey isn't busy training 20 hours each week in the gym, she enjoys making jewelries, hanging out with her friends and family and swimming. She is a student ta Lake Travis High School and she will graduate in 2024. She was a member of National Junior Honor Society. Lainey also volunteers at her church and she goes on mission trips to Nicaragua.
