Lauren was so active and her mom was trying to wear her out a bit, so she started taking Mommy and Me classes for fun when she was a toddler. Lauren continued to pre-school gymnastics while doing other sports. However, Lauren got kicked out of ballet class for talking too much and she begged weekly to return to gymnastics full-time by age 6. Lauren knew she wanted to be on team and compete. She started Flipnastics in Lakeway, TX just before her 7th birthday and within a month and a half, she competed at her first level 3 competition.

As a level 7 gymnast in 2012, she placed fifth in the all-around with a 37.925 and third on floor exercise at the State Championships. After her 2012 season, Lauren began training at Crenshaw Athletic Club in Austin, TX. In January 2013, Lauren represented Texas at the National Judges Cup where she placed fourth in the all-around with a 37.450 and first on balance beam. She had great level 8 season in 2013, but was unable to compete in the championships season due to an injury.

In 2014, Lauren competed as a first-year level 9 gymnast where she placed sixth on balance beam with a 9.400 at the State Championships. At the Region 3 Championships, she finished 14th in the all-around and qualified to the Level 9 Western Nationals in Boise, ID. Lauren continued competing level 9 in 2015. She placed 16th overall at the State Championships. She had a great meet at the Region 3 Championships where she finished third in the all-around with a 37.450, second on uneven bars, fourth on vault and fifth on floor exercise. She qualified to the Level 9 Western Nationals in Spokane, WA where she placed eighth in the all-around with a 37.175 and fifth on uneven bars. Lauren was unable to compete in 2016 due to an injury.

As a first-year level 10 gymnast in 2017, Lauren finished sixth in the all-around with a 36.225 and sixth on balance beam at the State Championships. She qualified to the Region 3 Championships. In 2018, Lauren placed third in the all-around and third on floor exercise at the State Championships She did well at the Region 3 Championships, finishing fifth in the all-around, third on vault and fourth on balance beam. She qualified to the Junior Olympic Nationals in Cincinnati, OH. Lauren was honored by her Crenshaw team by being chosen for the team spirit award.

Lauren trains 18 hours per week at Crenshaw Gymnastics Academy in Austin, TX under coaches Adam Miller, Helen Miller and Sharon Bunch. Lauren would like to obtain a Division I college gymnastics scholarship.
