There was a gym across the street from the pool where Lily's older sisters had swim practice. Lily's mom started her in a recreational class when she was three years old because it was very hard to keep Lily occupied while they waited. She began her gymnastics career at Flipnastics in Lakeway, TX. She competed level 4 in 2015 where she placed third on vault and eighth in the all-around with a 38.400 at the State Championships.

Lily skipped level 5 and 6 and quickly moved up to level 7 for the 2017 season. She placed third on vault with a 9.800 and fourth on floor exercise with a 9.725 at the State Championships. Lily was named to America's Top 100 on floor exercise with a 9.850. As a level 8 gymnast in 2018, Lily placed ninth in the all-around with a 37.525 at the Region 3 Championships.

Following Lily's level 8 season, she moved to Austin Elite Gymnastics Training Center in Lakeway, TX. She competed level 9 for the next two seasons. She placed fifth on floor exercise with a 9.550 at the 2019 State Championships and qualified to the 2019 Region 3 Championships. Lily had a great 2020 season where she placed first in the all-around with a 37.375 at the Presidential Classic and first in the all-round 37.000 at the Jock Jamz Invitational. She qualified to the State Championships but was unable to compete due to COVID-19.

In 2021, Lily placed sixth on balance beam at the Level 10 State Championships. In 2022, she finished sixth in the all-around and fourth on vault at the Level 10 State Championships and fifth on vault with a 9.675 at the Region 3 Championships. Lily qualified to the National Championships as a vault specialist. Lily qualified to the 2023 Level 10 State Championships but was unable to compete due to an injury.

When Lily isn't busy training 20 hours each week in the gym, she enjoys reading, playing ukulele and traveling. She is a member of Key Club and is a Co-Captain on her club team. She is the daughter to Bobby and Lisa Stringer and she has two older sisters, Chloe and Mollie and two Mini Australian Shepherds named Sami and Charli. She is considering majoring in Architecture in college.
